Jordan Henderson really annoys me. I feel like he'd wear Steven Gerrard's skin if he could.

Ah well it's been a great run. Had our chances and maybe should've done better with them, but in the end beaten by an exceptional European side ( who shouldn't be in the competition tbh).

Nearly men yet again. Enjoy it lads who'll revel in this, I would if it was one of your sides!

Where's that whisky now. ... :D
Sevilla are too good for the EL but not quite good enough to qualify from a CL group. Sevilla win the Europa, Qualify for the CL, finish 3rd in the group and repeat.

Its funny to see the best in England get continually swept aside by the best in Europe.
8th placed Liverpool are evidently not the best in England and Europa league winning 7th place in La Liga are not Europes best either.

Greater pressure/expectation on Liverpool's league position next season now there is no European football to distract them?

They absolutely have to finish in the CL places.

Awful 2ND half. The first 15 minutes set the tone. Couldn't get going, never pressed and the passing was slow.

The referee was giving every little niggle and wouldn't allow the game to flow, as well as missing 2 or 3 hand balls that you see given loads.

No complaints about their 3rd.

Coutinho was non existent tonight and provided no back up for Moreno, however, Moreno is probably walking up those stairs trying to claim a winners medal. He must think he still plays for Sevilla. Atrocious defender.

Big summer ahead. Hopefully we can still try to attract a couple of big names and keep hold of Sturridge and Coutinho.

Well done to Sevilla. Whatever team talk they held at half time worked well.

Vamos Sevilla!! Fucking vamos!!!

Absolutely loved that, a win for fairness in football. Great to see that gurning German prick lose yet another final. He's getting a bit of a reputation for bottling finals now.

Gotta feel sorry for Saltire. He was crying like Alex Salmond after losing the referendum at the quarter finals, they didn't even win the thing.

Fuck it, we'll win this, I'm confident. Seville have a great record in this competition in the last two years but their record on the road this season is fucking dire with 27 fixtures and only 1 win, and that includes one neutral venue where they lost. On Wednesday we'll make it 1 win in 28.

3-1 Liverpool.

I agree with most of this. I'm always a wreck before a final but I can't recall being as confident as I am for this one. Cardiff in 2011 maybe. If we don't win it'll be a huge disappointment, not least because of Klopp's eggs in one basket-rotation leading up to this final essentially guaranteeing us a rather embarrassing league finish.

We have to win and I reckon we will.

We'll smash them.

Hahahahahaha just when I think I can't enjoy this evening anymore. Thanks lads.

Don't get the hype with Coutinho at all, comes up with a wonder goal every now and then but doesn't get involved enough for me, games just seem to go past him. And if he had anything about him he would've told this bloke to fuck off https://twitter.com/profanityswan/status/733035854663450624 #sadselfie Hahaha
I'd of agreed to an extent before this season, however he's much more consistent now and he's usually a big game player, apart from tonight obviously.

Firmino shows him up quite often, as a certain G.B predicted.

Aye they are a strange side that way, I was really impressed by City when they won over at the Sanchez Pizjaun earlier in the season as they are demons at home, and I thought that was the beginning of something good for City. Anyway, they'll be back in it next year and may give the CL a better crack.

Just finished watching the highlights (was gonna watch full game but someone spoiled it, glad they did!). Anyway looks like we should have won it in 1st half. 2nd half we didn't even have a single highlight worthy moment, says it all really. Oh well, fuck the 4th place, lets go for the title next season!

can't even compete with their team pumped full of ped's. shameful. sturridge has a good finish on him for left midfielder mind, so there's that at least.

can't help but feel robbed of the real final, dortmund vs sevilla tbh. though tonights result did offer up a small serving of justice, given the confirmation of liverpool's disgusting cheating. sevilla ripping them apart has preserved the dignity of the competition, to a certain extent at least.
