While both goals came off great individual moments from Ox and Sane, neither should have gone in. Ederson is very late down for Liverpool's opener and Karius should never let it in at his near post ever.

Overall, I feel we only just edged it. City had a very good period around the 15-20 minute mark after our good start but I feel we've been more aggressive, been more creative in the final third and overall have looked more dangerous. We were never going to keep a clean sheet against this City side so that's fine. Mané has been disappointing you have to say, and Salah hasn't been up to much. Can has been fantastic though, and Wijnaldum has been very good defensively.

Citehs back four is a car crash, can’t believe Liverpool are the first team to run at them. Any defence with Otamendi in it is going to be shit TBH. Liverpool’s movement up front is stunning, got to be the best in Europe I’d have thought.
