As with every play off game, it’s so tough to call. It was a ding dong of a game at Sincil Bank on Good Friday, with Lincoln coming out on top but we created a number of chances too.

I guess we need to make sure we don’t get back to SJP with a 2 goal defeat or higher. Lincoln are on the up as a club, they’re used to managing big games during the last 18 months. Physically they will dominate us but luckily Moore-Taylor is back fit and Troy Brown is back in training so may make it. We may even seen Troy Archibald-Henville get a game as Tisdale gave him the job of keeping Rhead quiet in the home game and was going to use him in the same role at Sincil Bank until he pulled up in the warm up.

I’d be happy with a draw and think it will be close, so I will go 2-2. Stockley and Simpson for us. Frecklington and Green for the Imps.

You'll want to fit your keeper with one of these before the game. Just to be on the safe side.

I've always liked Exeter - similar sized club out on a limb; and I remember Fred Binney as Exeter's version of Matt Tees although he looked more like Jack Lewis with the tache. And the standout game of my childhood the 3-0 win at Blundell Park v Exe to clinch the 4th division title. I expected a double for the city a year ago, very surprised by Blackpool win...even more reason this season - Lincoln, plus Saracens or Franchise Wasps in opposition - couldn't be a worse combo for any fan of the Mariners and Leicester Tigers...

Two great awaydays in this league so if the winner of this would kindly bottle Wembley to Notts (where we never win) or Coventry (shite awayday) then that'd be grand.

We're pretty inconsistent during games at the minute. Like most of the season, we've seemed far, far better in the second halves after losing our way in the first at some point.

As of FT yesterday, we had no fit full backs. Habergham's missed the last three with a knee injury, so we're playing Wharton, a CB, at LB and at times he's looked like just that. It's a shame we've had to move him from CB because he's been outstanding since mid-February. Both the RB's are injured as well and we ended up with a winger playing there in the final 15 minutes on Saturday.

Frecklington missed yesterday through injury, too.

We're still 4-3-3, which leaves us very narrow. I'm not overly convinced it's a long term option for us but it's doing half a job. I just don't think it quite suits our forward players, Green and Rhead in particular. Doesn't get the best out of either, but does accommodate our three strongest CM's.

Need to be going to Exeter with a lead IMO. I wanted to avoid Exeter.

I expect a tight game. Maybe 1-1 or 1-0. With JMT back I can't see them scoring three this time and hopefully Stockley will be well rested and bang one in

Personally I think this is going to be one step too far for us, injuries are starting to affect us and I'm still not a fan of our 4-3-3 despite it serving us well.

I hope to god Eardley is fit but hamstring issues make me extremely nervous. Saturday showed us Wharton is no full back. With the 4-3-3 the full backs are our only width and not having natural full backs really affects us in an attacking sense.

We have great team spirit, connection between the fans and the players and big game experience so hopefully that will give us a boost.

I think we will lose at Lincoln, but if we keep it to the odd goal I fancy our chances at home to get us to the final. The game away at Lincoln was a cracker, but expect it to be much more cagey this time. Geddon City, lets do this !!!

As Luke we seem to have a bit of an injury crisis all of a sudden and may explain our drop off in form lately.
The players mentioned by Luke plus Bostwick seems to be struggling in games at times too.
Just don't think our squad is big enough to cope.
Never know with this lot but I just think its a bit too much for us.
If do get to the final that'll be 120 games played in two seasons.

I'm getting my ticket today but I'm not confident of a good result.... Going to be a journey made in trepidation more than hope.

If you're hoping to keep Matt Rhead quiet then just keep a fridge full of pork pies next to the corner flag and that's him taken care of and out of the game for the full 90 minutes.

Someone has said on the horrible world that is Facebook that we’ve sold 650 out of the 1000 given. With community sales (anyone on the club database) starting tomorrow, we should sell out.

Have you been drinking ? You’ve got lost and found yourself in a playoff match thread talking about a Lincoln player.

Nobody’s surprised

True , yet I only removed one word. And that one additional word in the sentence had you ,and probably only you, totally flummoxed. Awwwwwww

Looks like fishy needs every little bit of help going. So i’ll be extra careful on all Lincoln threads in the future so you don’t get confused :ohy:

We played Man City four times in total, in 1996 in the league cup 4-1 and our place then 1-0 there. Then we played them in the league during 98/99 season beat them 2-1 at our place but then lost 4-0 there. 7-6 to us on aggregate:whistle:

So is there a away ticket fiasco after last time, or has this all been resolved?

Exeter get the stand behind the goal, or the little bus-stop thing?

Both teams with managers who should easily make into the top 5 of managers down here, so will be an interesting contest
