I wasn't there today PUSBCCFC but it's not just our side that does it it's every side ,it's endemic in our footballing culture now. The slightest knock and they are taught to roll over three times and the rest of the team surround the ref asking for a card.
Jones does get kicked to death every match but I was simply saying as a general thought, they are taught to surroind the ref and try to get the bloke sent off
It's happened every game I've watched since we fell out the Prem. It's embarrassing for every team and the league should get tough on it

Your forwards weren't the feigning injury it was your big defenders, your forwards were too quick to catch most of the especially in the second half!
Totally agree on players making a meal of challenges dont like it when we do it either, not that we get many from doing it these days as our reputation precedes us and most of the refs in this league reffed our games at the level below so we have far less chance of conning them

As explained previously, but I'll do it again, he's being asked to play a role that isn't his strength. Difficult to score goals when your work is done in the channels and back to goal.

When he bagged loads for Mansfield under Cox the tactic was quickly pump the ball down the channels because he nearly always got the ball due to his superior strength and pace.

We're generally dropping it into Rhead, who flicks it on to him, not really hitting it long into the channels for him to chase. We did against Morecambe on the opening day and that's been his best game for us.

We've actually got a bit of a problem full stop up front. Rhead is, in the main, still our most effective striker but less effective than last season. Palmer does a bit of everything without really excelling at anything in particular and looks more of an impact player. When you've only got 3 strikers, that's not ideal.

And in wide areas, we've gone from having 3 main ones where two out of the three, Arnold and Hawkridge, were very good at the level we were playing at and also very consistent. Throw Anderson in there and our options were very good. This season there's obviously the step up but most of our wide options are inconsistent 19/20 year olds.

That's not a criticism of the players or management. You can see what we're trying to do, but we haven't quite got that quality to do it as we did last season. We're just in that transition phase, which is a little frustrating for the time being.

Still can’t understand why you feel the need to have a block empty in the SW stand? It is a separate stand, could have had 3-400 more Cov in there easily

I thought it was pretty obvious the likes of Rhead and Arnold would struggle due to a lack of quality at this level.

Rhead flicking on through to Green worked very well for Mansfield too. Maybe he’s gone past his peak which is a shame.

Yep as Luke says it's nothing to with the club, it's the safety people who want a gap that big.
It's either lose 3-400 away fans or we lose 400 odd home fans as we would have to shut the lower block 7 of the coop stand nearest to the away fans, but with our home support at the mo the club would rather have the extra home fans which is fair enough imho.

Not really. I hope for a tenth booking a game or so before we travel to the Ricoh!
On the feigning injury thing, we should do the rugby thing and simply play on around them! It's embarrassing for every team and such nonsense is ruining the game.

Nice to see your managers comments on the game, especially about us.
Very few managers are complimentary about the oppo when they lose.
The guy at Luton was complimentary as well.
We just can't beat the lower/basement sides at all.
