looks like Barry Douglas is injured now for 3-4 weeks, however I think Tom Pearce will thrive on the opportunity

last game supposedly before the Roofe and Hernandez are back, major boost going forward

think we will beat them due to their form recently and away record

2-1

Roberts and Alioski

He's in the cross hairs of some Leeds fans at the minute - he needs a performance sometime soon. His decision making has been questionable of late.

Shame about Douglas, his performance against Wednesday was one of/if not his best with a Leeds shirt on.

Our recent form hasn’t been good, and our away form has been terrible this year.

Fully expect to lose this.

Two footballing sides - should be entertaining.

A game that could go either way, 12.30 KO will dampen the atmosphere so reduced advantage there for Leeds somewhat.

Dallas will play ahead of Pearce in place of Douglas.

Stats show that Brentford concede mid-way through 1st half but always have a strong 2nd 45mins. Be good to go in to the break with a win for the string-o-beads.

Good test for both teams, which ever team wins will make a statement just before the international break.

Leeds are clearly slight favourites but wouldn’t surprise me if it was a 1-1 draw.

Think Brentford have edged this so far. Have to admire Brentford and their style of play, but perhaps lack of that extra bit of urgency/intensity when they're on top is their undoing over the long run. The difference, probably, between being a top ten side and a top six side, because they certainly don't lack the quality.

Would agree with that. Take a little too long to take the pass at times. We’re also very reliant on individuals not having an off day, which can undo us at times.

Fee like we should be ahead, but there haven’t been any real clear cut chances.

That’s the big problem playing a patient possession based passing style, players can get sucked into over passing with build ups being too slow making it easier to defend against.

We sometimes have great spells of passing in games but Wilder sometimes is really critical in his post match interviews. He says possession based passing can be overrated and some players hide by playing easy sideways passes just happy to retain possession.
He talks about penetration, intensity and passing with purpose.

Brentford are like the Arsenal of the Championship, look so good but often no end product.
Eventhough it’s 0-0 It’s been a good entertaining game played by 2 very good teams.

I think so. If this was Football Manager I wonder how much difference a player like Jed Wallace would make to their side as an attacking option -- someone who runs at players, and is comfortable playing on both the inside and outside. Some genuine width, basically.

We usually have a bit more of that, but Watkins is very out of form at the moment, Canos has looked alright.

Would love a box to box centre mid who could drive at defences, but they cost too much for us!

They go for about £8m these days, as we found out last month!

Not a penalty for me, Watkins literally dived into the contact

He’s definitely dived for it, but if he hadn’t, the keeper was going to take him down anyway.

It’s a pen, but I don’t like the way Watkins went for that. Would have got it anyway.

Never a pen!

His momentum has taken him into Peacock-Farrell.

Brentford deserve to be in front but that was a blatant dive.
Theyd be dangerous if they could finish.

On second viewing, need a replay from the other angle. Looks like Watkins is running into PF's body, but on closer inspection looks like contact is going to be made by PF's knee, which would have been a pen.

Daniels looks a clown in goal, get Bentley back in.

Penalty for me imo as well, clipped him after he’d knocked the ball around him. Just won £40 off of Maupay first goal scorer as well so happy days.

Btw, that Cooper makes a fuck up near enough every game. Why is he still playing for Leeds?

Leeds totally unimpressive lately, surely theyll drop away or is the top of the league really that poor this year?

Bentley’s given away 5-6 goals this year. Agree Daniels looks shit but Bentley can’t save at all at the moment (flapped two goals that were straight at him into the goal against Reading, also cost us three points in a couple of other games).

I think they will do down to squad depth, as if you look at their bench it’s not very strong.

Yeah I saw them last week, good keeper though worth sticking with imo.

Starts every season well, did last and has this but he’s prone to an error. Should’ve resigned Bartley, Leeds.

Just happened a few too many times. Two against Reading. One against Stoke, one against Blackburn, there’s another I can’t think of at the moment. Already cost us a good number of points.

Daniels deserves a chance. Wouldn’t surprise me to see Bentley back soon.

Brentford so fucking wasteful. It's winding me up and I've got no dog in this fight.

Watkins looks exhausted, he’s wasted an awful lot of chances today.

Same old for us - never put away as many chances as we should.

13 points lost from winning positions this season already. It’s ridiculous.
