PELLEGRINI: “I don’t know what will be the staring XI. One player who I’m sure will start is Raheem Sterling.” #mcfc

You'll hear the outraged booing from Manchester.

I don't get the problem with booing him, even if you consider him an innocent party in his transfer.

Do you reckon he'll hear it in Macclesfield?

No real problem with booing. Doing it constantly throughout a cup final, then trying to get at him in the bar afterwards is a little bit small time though, isn't it? Impotent rage, railing against a system that they believe they have the right to be top dogs in.

Like fans of a club who know that their best days are on Sky 529 rather than 402...

Physically going after him is not on, I agree. I don't see what the problem is with booing him though, no matter the occasion or length of time. Why does that upset you?

It doesn't. I've already said that. It makes them seem a bit like spoiled kids. I find it amusing and use it to mock them.

Grown men sitting at a cup final acting like a six year old at a panto.

You moan about it every chance you get. I take it City fans don't boo players then?

Do I? Think I've taken the piss out of Villa fans for their oh so funny 'snake' bollocks a couple of times, and probably will again at the weekend, if the lad manages to be involved.

And it's not just City fans. I don't think ANY boo ex players in the same way as Arsenal or Liverpool fans do. Sturridge got a little bit on Sunday, but Milner and Kolo got a decent reception.

He's a pantomime villain that Liverpool fans can use to project all of their club's inadequacies on. I'd have thought you'd have been lapping it up.

After all.... United fans told us for years that their real rivalry is Liverpool. So wouldn't a club you don't really care about pissing off your real rivals be something you should be reveling in?

I do enjoy the fact that Liverpool have succumbed to selling their players to direct rivals, of course. I just don't get the problem with them booing Sterling, that goes the same for Delph or any player that leaves a club under acrimonious circumstances.

Dude. Seriously. Stop feeling so violated all the time, it's not healthy. To put this into perspective:

You just won a cup. This is what you choose to talk about.

Sturridge got quite heavily booed at Etihad a couple of seasons ago with us, I'm not sure if he played for Chelsea against City, but as more time has passed I don't think the fans care as much. It's inevitable that Sterling would get booed and will do tomorrow too. Although Silks post makes it sound like we're pretty bad towards all of our ex players which is far from the truth, the only two who I remember getting it is Sterling and Owen. And understandably. It all depends on the circumstances really.

Violated? I'm taking the piss out of the Liverpool fans. I'm laughing at them. I'm thoroughly amused that they feel so utterly offended by the horriffic crime of a player leaving them.

I don't have a problem. I just think it's hilarious rattle throwing.

I'm thoroughly amused that you feel so utterly offended by the horrific crime of booing a player by opposing fans. Other than that, you need to get your head checked out.

Reading not your strong point eh?

I hope Sterling pulls a full-on Adebayor tonight. It'd be hilarious. You'd be streaming to your phones to send death threats to his family.

Very possible. Shame it's not at Etihad.

They could have paraded the trophy.

Fair play City for the cup win; fair play Liverpool in ending City's meagre title hopes.
