Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
Amazing performance from Cabellero in the shootout, City deserved to win the game, no complaints. Also, Coutinho's penalty was atrocious for someone of his calibre.

Emre Can deserved to win just for the panenka. Jizz.

Well that's just shit. Losing a final is about as horrible as it gets and it just feels empty. Beforehand I was quite sure that we were gonna lose but when it went to penalties I felt confident, we tend to do very well.

Long ways to go before it's even reasonable to talk about the Europa League so right now this season looks like it'll go down as one of the shittier in recent history. Out of the race for top four in early February and even though we made it to this final, we didn't really beat anyone of significance to get there. It won't be much of an achievement in hindsight.

City were deserved winners. Mignolet made enough good saves to not be the scapegoat even though he really shouldn't have let their goal in.

Well done Man City and congratulations. I'm just going to sleep now.

I don't feel too bad about it tbh, City were the better side and Liverpool competed well and had their chances as well. When it went to pens I was confident as well but it wasn't to be. Would like to have seen Klopp get off the mark trophy wise but so be it. Still got the EL to play for though so not all lost yet! :D

Great performance from Willy Cab on another day when City looked bang average.

Always fun to see Liverpool go home with their tail between their legs.

Again Pellegrini is vindicated by sticking with his keeper for the final.

3 good saves and I think City deserved it.

After a slow 1st half certainly was an enjoyable final for a neutral.

Based on Football Manager's attribute ratings, Sterling is about 6 or 7 for finishing and 2 for his weak foot.

City should have been 3-0 up before a rather fortunate Liverpool equaliser. The ref bottled it for the pen while Sterling didn't want to score against his former club. This will be Guardiola's biggest task imo: make them ruthless.

Liverpool were shit for most of the game really.

Stockport County.
Does this Everton fan know that this new owner they have has barely got a pot to piss in (in the ridiculous PL and European football terms). If his Russian mate gets on board it will be different but as for know, I doubt this Iranian is even in the top 10 richest in the league is he?

How good were those last two penalty saves.

Wednesday night will be interesting, anyway.

yeah but we've had nothing for donkeys and now we will be on a level playing field

it's our year next year LOL

It is true that Everton have been underfunded in relation to their size and stature. I'm delighted to see they might have the funds to keep other predators at bay, offer competitive contracts and attract better players.

Thought City deserved it. Liverpool played well at 1-0 down and could have nicked it in extra time but I think it would have been harsh on City to have lost. Looking forward to seeing what Klopp can do with Liverpool after a summer transfer window because they just aren't good enough at the moment.

Of course not, that was sarcasm. I'll be laughing in the Summer when we ease Stones and Lukakau away from you and stick them on our bench.

Oh btw sell Hendo, Milner and Sturridge. 3 bottlers, one of the captain. If you don't have the balls to take pens in nothing cup then you are just a fucking weak pussy.
Sturridge had cramp apparently. Perhaps one of Henderson or Milner was lined up to take the 5th spot-kick?

You can have Stones and Lukaku, we're looking for better players than them now:hypo:

Aye Sturridge was struggling for the last 10 mins of ET with cramp. Milner would've took one, not sure on Hendo - if he was 100% fit then yes - with his heel issues he still doesn't look right.
