@WembleyStadium

This should be a very good game. I think both of the teams have most of their best players available. With players like Aguero, Silva, Toure, Coutinho, Firmino, Sturridge there should be plenty of "quality" in the pitch. Nonetheless, City looked great against Dynamo Kiev while our front 3 is still learning to play together. City defense should also be much better than ours now that Kompany is back.

Tough one to call...I will go for Liverpool 2-3 City. Mignolet or one of the defenders to fuck up for their winning goal. But we have already beaten City once this season so it shouldn't be impossible.

I'd also love Liverpool to win this. The less trophies Man City win the better IMO.

I hope Caballero doesn't get the nod, but I fear that he will. Glad City got that Kiev win in after a run of defeats, but Liverpool have hardly been in the best of form either. They'll raise their game for this. They always do against City. It'll be like their cup final again.

Worryingly, Kompany missed training today apparently. Hopefully just a precaution, because the entire side is just better with him in it.

A bit of a slip there eh Silky? :D

City looked good the other night but Kiev were abysmal tbh. This one will be close with goals in it, I'm going for 2 - 2 and Liverpool to win on pens.

Are you feeling ok Saltire? You must be very confident about this game if you're predicting a Liverpool win:ohm:

Let's hope you're correct, but if it goes to pens i'm not sure i'll be able to watch:lol:

Back to back games against City. Palace game and then back to back against United. Could be one of the best couple of weeks of football or the worst.

City are a funny side, a bit schizophrenic like Liverpool, one day they can be great, on another totally shite. They are hitting some form again and will be justifiably favourites, but its a final and anything can happen in one of those, so why not say Liverpool could nick it! :D

You'd need a sense of humour for such an act.

I'm absolutely bricking it, and I can't really picture us winning. I just have a feeling City's experience will come into play. The only way we'll win is if Coutinho and Sturridge both have a blinder and City's attack have an off day. I mean, if Agüero would be as shit as he was against Spurs we won't really have to do much defending.

We'll lose.

Klopp on the final: “All I will say it will be completely different, or not. I won’t talk about tactics here. Even in Manchester they have televisions!"

Not really seen any of the build up lest it irritate me.

To quote Twitter...

@howiehok34: Think I'll prepare for cup final by reading in Times how Klopp has transformed Liverpool, or maybe take in Steven Gerrard's new column.

Then a quick read of Michael Owen's thoughts, check Mark Lawrenson's match predictions, listen to Aldridge & Houghton on Talksport.

Then probably watch Phil Thompson on Soccer Saturday before taking in Jamie Carragher's new article. Get a nice balanced view.

The "at least we won that one" trophy is being contested today between Liverpool and Manchester City.

Not even going to try and predict the game. Both sides' form is, well, erratic. Both can put in a great performance and both can be a bit shit. If one side is on and the other is off, it could be a massacre.

I just hope it's not settled by a howler from Willy, or whoever the referee is getting something spectacularly wrong.

Liverpool would probably appreciate this more than City at the moment as this'd just be a consolation prize to them.
Klopp getting a trophy in his first season in England vs Pellegrini getting one in his last. I think Liverpool will probably be more up for this actually as this is basically their whole season but for the Europa which I doubt they'll do anything in.
Where Yaya pays will be very important. If he plays in the attacking part of that midfield along with Silva and Sterling, then City should be pretty solid and dangerous going forward. If he sits in a holding role with Fernandinho alongside then Liverpool can exploit the fact he's a lazy bastard that doesn't cover back even though that'd be his job. And that's the area that Liverpool see most of their best attacking come from with Coutinho playing left of centre, Sturridge drifting out wide and Firmino able to occupy the space anywhere.
1-1 normal time. After that I dunno #pagnellpredictions.

I don't do many predictions either Silks but here's one for you:

If we win, you'll feel that City have been wronged in some way. Probably in more ways than one.

If it's as much of a stitch up as the penalty against Spurs, then yeah, I probably will.

Didn't even realise both teams had reached the final, never mind contesting it today, til I saw the fixtures on Live Score. Don't no-one give a fuck about this competition no more, seems like.

Hoping for a City win. The thought of a momentum gaining cup win, that's earned' for Klopp and Liverpool is a horrid thought. City winning it is just as hollow as their other trophies, irrelevant.

Doesn't worry me that, Aguero's pace would trouble the others if they were fit anyway but positionally Lucas is good so we'll see.
