Dunno. Doyle can’t play for anyone else this season (2 club rule). Can’t imagine it would be Yates.

Know nothing about Salford.

Yates is the only one I could think as a possibility. What's your view on him and why wouldn't you think it would be him?

He’s on a season long loan. Contract is up at the end of the season so perhaps Rotherham could get a few quid for him in January - although that’d probably be us.

He works his nuts off every game, got a 1 in 2 strike rate but he does miss an awful lot of chances. Obviously overshadowed by Doyle, but he’s young and likely to improve.

Sounds like Yates. I like him, he works very hard, as ID states he can be wasteful but I think he is in general a good finisher. Him and Doyle have formed a very good partnership so i'm hopeful we'll look to sign him permanently but clearly if he gets a chance to play league 1 football then he's likely to be interested.

He's only 22 so very much a work in progress, but so far so good.

Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t want him to leave, but I wouldn’t be slashing my wrists either.

Rotherham obviously don’t envisage him going back there seeing as they allowed him to play in the Cup on Saturday, so I’d imagine we have an option to buy clause in January. If another club offered more money, fair enough.

Re Doyle, can’t see how we can afford to bring him back, our squad looks massive, but he’s not playing in the FA cup so God knows. GB wouldn’t get anything out of him either.

Thing is, I can’t imagine Doyle wants to sign in January cos we’ll have to pay a transfer fee. Come June he could get that money as a signing on fee.

Tbh, I expect we’ll both be glad when it’s sorted one way or another.

Jose Baxter has left argyle. Mutual early termination of his contract.

Clearly talented but is crocked. A real shame. Wish him the best.

Agree, at points he looked our most skilful player. I really hope for him the calf gets sorted and is not career ending. Would love to see him back some time.

Very strange to mutually terminate your contract 7 weeks prior to its expiry surely. Had bundles of talent slightly disappointing that we never got to see him when fully fit and with a run of games under his belt.

Paul Caddis signing until January. Very happy with that.

Well, it is. But Donohue was a right good player. Maybe he’s off to Her Majesty’s.

Trevor East joins the board. Don’t know much about the bloke but he seems to have a good background.

Rule Sotiriou rejoins us after his three-goal loan spell at Dover. Hopefully that’ll be the end of James Alabi in the match day squad.

Moving our FA Cup game from the 30th November to 1st December was really bad timing for us

Lowe, Schumacher and Neil Dewsnip (DOF) watched Torquay yesterday, most likely watching Jake Reid. Joint top scorer of the National League with 14 goals.

Seems to be a fair bit of speculation regarding Jarrad Branthwaite nationally but the local media not joining in the speculation. Everything from Celtic are set to sign him to Southampton are set to sign him to Newcastle having first refusal as part of the Sorensen loan. One paper valued him at a million too.

Would be very disappointing if for the third time in a year we lose a young player in the first transfer window after he steps up to first team football. A million quid would ease that disappointment some way but I can't see it myself. It's just the way football is going, the gap between the richest clubs and the rest is such that the amount they pay to take a punt on an unproven youngster, while still a pittance for the smaller club is practically nothing at all for the bigger club.

Heard he was a bit special, bit disappointed he didn't play against us. Always good to see these players before they go on to make it big. See what all the fuss is about.

Who were the other 2 lads? Are they getting game time?

Getting good vibes about Doyle!

A few 'ITK' Twitter types starting to spread rumours that we have agreed a deal for Doyle in Jan and looking to sign Grant permanently as well. I reckon if we can get these done it is a fantastic statement of intent. But this is Swindon, so they will probably both sign for Oxford!!

He was ill and didn't travel, but I'm sure he'll feature in the replay which might add a few hundred more FGR fans on the gate.

The other to, McCarron and Galloway both signed for Leeds to go into their development squad, neither have played any senior matches since leaving Carlisle (Galloway never even played any for Carlisle, he impressed in our pre-season friendlies and was immediately snapped up).
