Negative match day sales, we have (had?) more STH than that, maybe some have thrown them away; is this the low point from which launch a storming run to end up playing Tahgers next season?

Some shocking home followings tonight in League Two for their respective club sizes..

Morecambe 927 - 205 = 702 (!) home fans
Accrington 1,119 - 111 = 1,008 home fans
Crawley 1,580 - 321 = 1,259 home fans
Stevenage 2,544 - 760 = 1,784 home fans
Cheltenham 2,266 - 152 = 2,114 home fans
Yeovil 2,338 - 211 = 2,127 home fans
Newport 2,275 - 64 = 2,211 home fans
Colchester 3,102 - 475 = 2,627 home fans
Grimsby - 3,023 - 199 = 2,824 home fans
Port Vale - 3,878 - 537 = 3,341 home fans
Chesterfield - 4,306 - 93 = 4,214 home fans
Luton - 7,664 - 215 = 7,449 home fans

In a full round of fixtures, only 3 games attracted over 3,000 home fans, Coventry took more to Stevenage than Morecambe fans in attendance at the Globe Arena... 702 home fans for a league game must be a record? Accrington very nearly sub 1k... must be Yeovils and Grimsbys lowest home turn outs in the football league ever?

6 out of 12 fixtures attracted total crowds of less than 2,400.

Average home fans accross the league was 2,668, although this is skewed by Lutons home crowd who made up 23% of total home fans in the league.

Expected our gate to be low but there is some shockers in there. I know Morecambe aren't the best supported club but surely 700 home fans in the FL is really worrying?

700 home fans is a small crowd even for conference north standards. For us to only take just over 200 fans and have nearly quater of the crowd for a league game is crazy at this level.

They only just got over 1000 for our game there a few weeks back. Going to be difficult for them to sustain FL football if that doesnt improve surely from a financial POV

They are low, but it highlights the fact too many fans are happy to sit at home and watch Champions League football.

Both ours and Lincoln's followings last night were very good.

Find it ironic the initial posting on poor home crowds was posted by a Bury fan !!! :brill:

Decent numbers from Mansfield good while since we played them but maybe always used to be 300 ish if memory serves me right. Pity it wasn't a saturday really.

Our low gate was due to the apathy around the clubs performances and also off the pitch with fans just not feeling a part of it any more.
Quite ironic that we then went and put on our best performance of the season since the opening day win at Chesterfield.

Why's that? Where is the irony? Our crowds aren't great but no Bury fan claims them to be, doesn't mean I can't make an observation on other clubs crowds...as I said in the post 'for their respective club sizes'... Grimsby getting only 2,800 was particularly eyebrow raising considering they usually attract around 4,500 fans.

We drew a crowd of 3,055 last night with 2,600 of those being home fans. Distinctly a league Two level crowd, albeit we are bottom of the league and without a manager. Manchester City playing a Champions League fixture 8 miles down the road doesn't help... obviously being a Carlisle fan you wouldn't encounter this issue.

Yep. I think this is the lowest number we have ever taken to Luton since 2010. Perhaps djs can confirm if this is so?

Not even close. Approx 1,900 at an end of season game when bottom of the old 4th division in 1969 and having to apply for re-election as a result. Our mid-week attendances have been poor for years. In the good old days of the booming fishing industry Tuesday nights were often better supported than Saturday games.

Cheers djs. Not the lowest ever then but pretty close, though it is certainly the lowest for a L2 game. That 522 for 11/12 was for a midweek game, as was the 2012/13 game IIRC. No excuses for the 10/11 match however, although I'm sure that having a poor side that year didn't help.
