Southey ya dirty smeghead. We took 4000 once to your shithole. You failed to sell out every time at Glanford Park

None of the above is remotely true in the real world fella however in one of your minds I bet it is. You odd ball.

566 Oxford at Southend. Decent turnout considering how poor we normally are there*.

*Happily not today.

They took 720 to hull today at £12 a ticket and are 5th in the championship.

Short memory then. 1,311 City at Blackburn last season in our third visit in five years.

So still less than 1317 then :flint::ds:
Was an outstanding following from them, loads of Gasheads I knew yesterday were on the same train. Their away support is good, I never deny that much.

Aye they're the best fans to come to Ewood this season.

Yep very good turnout from Bristol Rovers, they are right up there with the best away followings out of the smaller clubs including ourselves, Grimsby and a few more ect.

Thought Wigan following was shocking numbers to say they are top and have the best team in the league by far. We would have taken more vise versa and our team is diabolical lately even with the shocking away record.

I couldn't give a toss about away attendances really but I feel the need to step in after seing my club being panned.

Rovers have an average away following of 884, compared with 1417 for us.

Also bear in mind that Hull is quite a bit further than Blackburn for us and that we've played there countless times. It was their first trip to Ewood since 1991.

I hope this offers some perspective.

I'm offering some perspective by praising their following Saturday and acknowledging they have decent away support. It's not as good as ours, but for a club their size it's impressive.

They're still on a high, despite them being 19th in L1 the last two seasons have been as good as it's got since the Trollope days. We haven't had it much better since the same sort of time having said that.

What was Bristol City’s away average for the full seasons spent in L1 in recent years? That would offer some additional perspective.

Well that was predictable.

It's a fact! This is your best season since you got to the P/O final.

Rovers aren't very good, that in its self changes numbers.

It's not really rocket science.

2013-14 824 (in the bottom 4 until March with no wins until the end of October)
2014-15 1384 (skewed by the fact we won the league)

Not amazing I know, and pretty comparable to what they are getting at the moment but the consensus on here from that tedious Blade and a few others is that they are better supported on the road than we are. Just trying to point out a few facts that's all.

As said above, 800 odd when we were bottom of L1 and went on a 23 game winless streak home and away. 1,300 odd when we went up, which was a very northern division but still decent. 13/14 was as bad as it got for 30 years for us, this season for Rovers they're in a similar position and it's still as good as they've been for 10 years.

See above. You can't say they're "not very good" this is great for them compared to years under Buckle, McGhee, Ward etc where they were in L2 and the conference. Most of them are just thankful to be in League One, they know they wouldn't survive in the Championship it would cripple the club, Clarke and their owner regularly say as much.

Ah but we've been overtaken by the hordes of new tractors following the Cowley bandwagon, replete with satnavs to direct them to all the "new" football grounds they are visiting, like Blundell Park and Meadow Lane...

No one can dispute BR’s away attendances being good but it’s ridiculous to compare with their neighbours. The cost of visiting away grounds in the Championship is far greater than those in League 1 so there’s the perspective

Don't Bristol City have their own thread for wanging on about attendances and the like?

So far for me (not an adult I know but still) it's been pretty steady between last season and this season in terms of ticket price. There's still teams in this division charging £25+ for adults, it's a disgrace.

Anything over £20 is a disgrace but football isn’t for the fans anymore
