Yes for some reason you are always spot on regarding the signings that turn out good and way off with the signings that turn out bad.

Not got any wrong since Klopp come in, and it helps they've all been a success to a lesser or greater degree. I also don't go into paroxysms of emotion if we miss out on Gotze and get Mane, or miss out on Mendy and get Robertson, unlike some.

Fair enough, most of what you say makes sense. However, given your previous stance on Karius, what would your opinion be if he keeps up his current form for the rest of the season? Buy or give it another season?

I'm kind of on the fence regarding that, me. However, goalkeeper is a notoriously difficult position to get right and we have more pressing concerns that will likely cost a bit, aside from Keita coming in at 60 odd million. But then again, a drop of form mid-September from Karius making our whole defence nervous and you'd take a bullet to have bought that good goalkeeper for 30ish million.
Which world class keeper is available for 30 million? Alisson is quoted around 70-80 mil. 30 mil at best will get us another potential, who will get written off by keeper experts on here well before he gets a good chance.

He's improved from the calamity he was but still not convincing for me, in particular on crosses and set pieces. And he looks like a right dick with that hair.

Yeah well you have been incredibly harsh on him in the past though, but I don't want to associate myself with the other side that is Saltire and G-dragon for the record.

Going into the summer, I don't think we should buy a new goalkeeper. Or if we do, it should be a young replacement for Mignolet. We have other pressing concerns such as cover for the front three, another CM despite Keita coming in and a starting CB. Whatever money we would have to spend to improve on Karius, I'd rather see go into that.

Indeed. Personally I think we'll buy a keeper to replace Mignolet as there has been no sign Ward will be given a go and both are too good to be number two's and should be playing somewhere. Also think we'll bring in a forward to replace Sturridge and Origi for options and to rest the front three when needed. A DM to come in and interchange with Hendo as Can is off, probably a right-sided CB too and a backup LB as Moreno will be off too. We do that we'll have the depth for a title shot and hopefully another European run.

Depends on how he comes back but he should be competing with TAA (who can also play in the middle) next season, with Gomez either becoming fourth choice in the middle or leaving. I don’t think Gomez will make it here, unfortunately. He consistently struggles to judge the flight of long balls which is so easily exploited, and not something you tend to pick up after a while.

Maybe Gomez could be converted to a DM down the line if he continues to be sloppy on overhead balls coming in.

Unless we plan to turn him into an attacking player, which we're not, it's a too easily exploitable weakness to be worth it in the long run. He'll move on eventually and forge himself a good Prem career in the mid-lower regions.

You know me, I'm not willing to write him off just yet. It is his first full season back remember and overall in that time he has been excellent. He might kick on again next year where it will all just click, and he could become a stalwart for LFC for years to come. We'll see.

Some weaknesses are the kind of stuff you can work on, some are not. This is category two, he's been heading balls for 20 years and he still gets the flight of the ball wrong on a regular basis.

Basically, wherever we play him, hoofed ball with a striker running in behind him will result in scoring chances. Whether it's from out wide or from deep, it won't fail. The only way to live with this weakness is a low back line, and accept that you'll sometimes concede from crosses. It's fine for a lower midtable team, they stack talented players with glaring weaknesses.

And no, he hasn't been excellent, he's been ok gradually getting worse as teams have picked up on this weakness of his. But it always showed, in our two opening games this season (Watford away, Hoffenheim away) we conceded because of this flaw of his.

Watford and Hoffenheim are harsh Bilo, he was only just back in the side. He has steadily improved this season and will be a useful player to have in the squad. He has made mistakes that have cost us points this season, I admit, but he may come back next season and be a boss, it happens.

I still think he can become a decent CB or DM down the line, he is only 20 yet, we all forget, he has been at the club for what appears so long now.

Ox out then for nine months, that's horrendous for the lad. As soon as I saw him looking anguished towards the bench last night I knew it was serious. That's also his second World Cup in a row he's missed out on now. Poor sod.

Fuck England and the world cup. That rules him out for most of next season, just as he was establishing himself as one of our better players. What a complete cnut, will be a big miss for the second leg and potentially the final.

He's left the club.

Current Liverpool Manager Jürgen Klopp labelled Buvač as "the brain" in his coaching team, while describing himself as "the heart" and the second assistant coach, Peter Krawietz, as "the eye". Buvač has been credited for developing the high-speed attacking style that brought success at Borussia Dortmund.

I suppose this means that Liverpool are now brainless.

Klopp's assistant Zeljko Buvac to take break from #LFC role between now and end of season due to personal reasons.

Club say his position unaffected and he remains an employee.
