The good thing about coming down for a season is it's easier to rebuild the team.

Ollie Watkins
James Maddison
Joe Worrall
Adam Webster
Ola Aina loan
Joe Williams loan
Neal Maupay

All good lads that'd jump at the opportunity of playing for us. We could sign all of them and still have change from the sum we'll sell Mawson for. A season of rejuvenation and next gen moulding.

Why would players jump at chance to play for Swansea?? half of clubs in this league are bigger than Swansea with far better support.

Derby
Leeds
Forest
Wednesday
Stoke
Sheff Utd
West Brom
Boro
Norwich
Birmingham
Bristol City
Ipswich
Villa/Fulham

Bolton,Blackburn, qpr, wall,Preston and hull are probably on a par too, not much in it with a few of them.

Well if I didn't know I was back in the tinpot section I do now. Nobody cares about perceived levels of "bigness" least not players. The sooner you understand that the better. Players care about the future, our future is PL, ergo we will sign who we want whether you like it or not.

I think you don't realize that there's a lot of clubs in Championship with very wealthy owners and they're all very reluctant to sell any of there best players, especially to other Championship clubs, Premier league clubs maybe but not Championship.

Swansea will walk this league. I’d be going for Billy Davies if I was them knows how to win at games this level and doesn’t mind his players “leaving their foot in”.

Seems like they are in for De Boer or Stam.

Something they like abut sacked Dutch managers?

Bilo this Potter looks to be doing pretty crap in the league - are you sure he's not a fraud?

Six points clear of the drop in the top division with a team that wasn't anywhere near the second division when he took over.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, taking Östersund to the knockout stages of the Europa League is something there isn't another manager in the world I'd back to do. It's so genuinely ridiculous everything fades in comparison.

Well he's set to be appointed by the end of the week apparently. If he turns out shit I'm holding you personally responsible.

P.S - Any good lads from the Swedish league you think Potter may take a dabble on?

Well, managing a team full of relative superstars (Martin Olsson, for example, would be the best player in the Swedish top division by a country mile) is quite different to coming to a place where nobody gives a fuck about football and you can do whatever the hell you want, like at ÖFK in the north of Sweden.

While the former is significantly easier than the latter there's no such thing as a guarantee for success. But if he wins the Premier league with Swansea within three years, his achievements with ÖFK would still trump it, in my opinion. I almost find it frustrating that there's nothing reasonable to compare his achievements with, it's just unprecedented. And I'm not one for hyperbole.

What I will add though, is that this man has the potential to turn your club into something you couldn't imagine it ever becoming (and that's saying something for you, Abertawe). I don't know if he will, circumstances might not let him, but I wouldn't be surprised. He strikes me as a loyal man, it should be noted he's only about to leave ÖFK now when a huge scandal has been exposed related to the club (which he had no involvement in, reasonably no knowledge of and was not in any way a beneficiary). He will have turned down a host of offers over the past few years to stay at ÖFK, he might very well do the same at Swansea.

P.S - Any good lads from the Swedish league you think Potter may take a dabble on?
No, not straight away anyway. I mean there are talents and they could turn good eventually, but there's no logical reason for him to look for talent here with the budget he'll have at his disposal at Swansea.

We have the best player from the Swedish first division last season (went back on loan) and he's not started a league game in two seasons.

Swedish press reporting Potter has verbally agreed to become the new manager of the mighty Swansea City.

I wonder if our fixture with Swansea next season will be a bubble match again to protect the precious taffs...

The chairman of the club is involved in some fraudulent accounting etc. Nothing directly related to the club.

It's genuinely too complex and not relevant enough to write out but I'm sure it's googleable, his name is Daniel Kindberg.

Only clubs in the league next season that Swansea are bigger than are: Rotherham, Millwall, Brentford, Wigan and Hull.

They’re also in for a shock come August if they think they’re going to steamroll the league and have their pick of other clubs best players.

It's Brentford mate. He could have a ten year contract it wouldn't matter. The potential injury is fine - just mean we'll get him on the cheap whereas other clubs will hold off. Makes it more likely if anything.
Given our record when selling players in this division, Watkins won’t be going anywhere for less than £15m. Maupay would probably be gettable for £6-7m but between them that’s wiped out most of your Mawson fee.

Would put decent money on us finishing above you this season.

£15m for Ollie Watkins lol
Not unreasonable given we sold Gray for £9m and Hogan for £12m

Watkins has got much more potential than either of those

And has much longer than either of those two did left on his contract

He's scored 10 goals in 40 odd games, how does that make him with £15m. Sean Maguire hit similar or more in half the games for Preston.

Abertawe, as we do charity bets down here and you have such a misguided opinion of your little club, I will bet your 'massive' club average less crowd wise than our little club over the bridge?
£10 says we average a higher attendance than your super club.
Charity is the choice of the winner, which WILL be me.
