Another week, another relegation 6 pointer. First ever league meeting, although we did play Crewe in a friendly about 10 years ago and won 2-0. Dario Gradi complained about the pitch they were training on down here saying people were walking their dogs on it or something. Sounded a bit billy big bollocks to me tbh.

Got Bennett back after his ban, reckon he'll come in for Monthe who had a bit of a mare at Crawley. Need to keep the good run going, just need to be a bit more clinical and have a decent ref for a change.

Getting all nostalgic for the Dario era and nonsensical tangents that were his interviews. :(

Edit: Draw at best, probably comfortable defeat.

We looked really improved at Crawley and Dale coming back in is a bonus so hopeful we can at least extend the unbeaten run.

I'm going on Saturday - spending a weekend in Bristol with the wife and dragging her along to the match. The match itself will probably be torture and we'll lose yet again but I hope for a nice weekend. Also, for the first time in years, I will actually buy food at a football ground...

We're rubbish and we'll probably lose. Praying the weather stays dry given we're on an open terrace.

Crewe are looking absolute rubbish this season, even worse than last season; with FGR getting better with each game they seem to be heading to defeat and towards the bottom of the table

That would be a good turnout and I hope you get that many.
Besides we all know the more away support a team secures the better their chances of pulling off an away win.
Nevertheless I have the game down as a 3-1 home win.

So predictable, every time winning away from home with less than 10 mins to go you can guarantee we lose, with the winner coming in stoppage time. Doesn't matter about the manager the mentality of the club is just so weak, and has been for over a decade.

Really feel sorry for the 413 away fans today, soaking wet miles from home and that happens yet again.

What a finish! Plenty of possession we did not much with then behind after a decent cross fizzed in waist height. Sort of carried on in that vein, lot of ball but no end product until we were pegged back again. Subs made a difference, Wishart getting crosses over, and think Crewe tried to settle for the draw after the equaliser which was a mistake as let us keep plugging away.
Could be season-defining, chance to look up at midtable instead of scrapping round the drop but early days obviously.

Stewards must have too as they let a load of you undercover in the North Stand halfway through second half.

Should have just let us have the stand straight away, instead of letting everyone soak.

I would prefer it if we reverted to the North Stand being home fans, plenty of room in there for what we need, then give the away fans the South Stand. You could put some seats back in on one side of it, so we don't have to allocate them part of A-Block in the main stand, everyone is happy. We get the Wet Terrace back again for home fans, for some reason some of our fans enjoy standing in the rain...not my thing, but let them if they want to.

Absolutely pathetic. I'd be much more angry if it wasn't so damn predictable. We played well and were in control for nearly 80 minutes but it was always likely that we'd lose because we are Crewe and that is what we do. It didn't help that the ref missed 2 or 3 really obvious fouls on Alex players towards the end but it didn't make any difference because I'm sure we'd have lost anyway. Still, the vegan food was pretty good and it was nice to be able to get out of the rain for most of the second half.

You know what, standing there watching that last corner come in, you knew it was going in. There is no bottle or spine in this team. Artell needs to fuck off rapido, I'm beginning to dislike him more than Davis, such an arrogant prick and its totally unearned as well. He gobs off at the 4th official all game and when his team collapse, he sends the players over to clap the fans whilst he shoots off for the dressing room. Pathetic, utterely pathetic. He is a woeful manager who doesn't have a clue what he's doing. His record makes Davis' look positively decent at this point. We are heading for the conference, no doubt about that. 12 defeats from our last 15 league games now. Thats relegation form.

In isolation, you can excuse this defeat. Down to the bare bones player wise, missing 4 of your contracted defenders and 3 midfielders that would have started had they been fit. There was nobody on the bench to bring on, although they should have made changes at 2-2 to break the game up and get some fresh legs on. Zooms for Pickering was one and you could have taken off Reilly for Dagnall or Kirk for Cooper and not lost anything.

As LOTP says, we were doing ok for the first 80 minutes and all 3 of their goals had the element of fortune about them. But you can't judge in isolation. This is the 3rd straight league game where we've gone 1-0 up and lost. 4th where we've been leading at lost, 5th where we've been leading and not won. Disgraceful. Oh well, best start looking at the best ways to get to Boreham Wood and Maidstone.

My wedding ring came off in the melee after the equaliser, had to scrabble around the terrace but managed to find it :D Explaining that to the missus would have been fun.

Absolutely classic Crewe. Whole away end saw it coming a million miles away, when we went defensive at 2-1.

Completely immune to the disappointment. Not even sure I care for Artell’s future; relegation will do this club good in the long run. When Artell goes it’ll only mean more of the same from Kenny Lunt anyway. Need changes higher up immediately.

Crewe reminded me of Yoevil yesterday, (when we played them early on) looked good coming forward but the defence always suspect. They can count themselves a little unlucky. There were pretty cynical in places, I guess that's a compliment.

The FGR forum has made me laugh. You would have thought they were playing Millwall not little old Crewe the way some of there fans have gone on. God help them when the likes of Luton, Coventry and Vale turn up later in the season.

Apparantly we have a reputation for causing trouble.

We've already has Luton a few times they're fairies. I think most of are fans are pissed off because a few young fgr fans got banned for "moshing" against Swindon yet a few Crewe fans are aloud to run onto the pitch as the game is being played and just aloud to stay in the ground without any punishment. Was a bit of a joke.

Why would our fans cause trouble at FGR? We’ve been there before and was none. Our dick element only come out for the big game where’s there’s guaranteed to be trouble with the opposition, 99% of games they won’t be seen.

In fact at VP this season wasn’t it Crewe fans causing more trouble than ours? Some right weapons came with your support.
