The thing about Kewell was that his record at Crawley was so meh it was hard to say whether it was actually any good or not. One of the fairer accusations against our chairman is that he does appear to suffer from stars in his eyes when he’s dealing with some of football’s more famous names, and I don’t think Kewell would have got anywhere near the job with his record if he’d had a playing career at Leatherhead and Leyton Orient rather than Leeds and Liverpool.

It is still early days, but I wouldn’t be at all disappointed if he got sacked tomorrow. I’d definitely worry though that Hardy’s definitely the type of bloke to give Sol Campbell his big chance in management.

You'd think Notts County would be one of the few league manager's jobs that Campbell hasn't applied for, but who knows.

Winning 1-0 at half time to Charlton, deserve it too.

Second half is going to be more difficult I imagine.

We’re two down at bloody Guiseley. We’ve been terrible apparently but it’s still taken a screamer and a freak goal to put us two down. We’re not out of it yet but we’re pretty close.

Pretty much the only tie where I’ve been rooting for the League team to beat the non league team.

We edged that against Charlton, they had a ten minute spell in the second half and got a scrappy goal out of it.

Great finish but that was all about Manny. Really nice run and pass.

Grown into the game and the change has improved things. Final ball letting us down at times but still in this when it looked like we could get battered.

Side note mind, Sunderland fans are silent! Expected them to be passionate noisey lot. Disappointing as it’s a good atmosphere generally.

Spent too long in the first half backing off them, can't be doing that against good quality teams like them and expect to win.

Concerning really just how reliant we are one player in Manny, especially when someone flashes a couple of fivers in front of Smurthwaite for him.

By the sounds of it (I couldn’t make the game) we should have put the game to bed long before you eqaulised, it’s the story of our season. Obviously no shame in drawing with a far, far bigger club like you, but our ability not to finish costs us again

You were shite the whole game, we were much the better team so you were lucky to draw really.

Frustrated, big penalty call not given and had a real go. Given them a real game of it and considering their budget is about 50 times what ours is I can’t fault the boys today.

Just a shame for the first half hour we looked a bit too timid against them. After that was a very credible effort. Good entertaining game that.

Always annoying when you don’t go through in the cup due to a dodgy goal.

Bit harsh that today Adam, considering you know, a league above, the goal was offside.

It was a decent performance, can’t see us getting through now though.

That’s my only criticism today, we should have completely gone for it because it felt like our only chances to get through, replay does us no favours.
