Never been in favour of this video rubbish. Goal-line technology is help enough for the officials. Other calls are just useless and reducing the flow of a game that is fast turning into the shadow of its former self. Very rarely do I enjoy a game from start to finish these days.

absolute non performance from Swansea. Could not have been less interested if they tried which is pathetic really. Stroll for Spurs.

Yeah Swansea we’re terrible. Their 5th round game was crap too, they did pull off two good wins in the 3rd and 4th rounds so we should let them off I guess.

Spurs at home for an FA Cup semi final. Any geek want to tell me when a team was last at home for an FA Cup semi?

I was concerned about this game, I remember my league pilgrimage to South Wales in the league this season, a horrible game and a really laboured Tottenham win in the end. Despite the Ayew bros missing I thought the Swans would give us a much harder time, as it happens Spurs should have won by 4 at least. VAR is a farce, it has no place in football, farcical that Sonny's goal was chalked off by a linesman making a guess. Nonetheless, completely delighted by the Spurs performance, could not have asked for more tbh. COYS.:2thumb:

The assistant referee wasn’t making a guess and VAR confirmed his decision to be correct, although whether a player ought to be adjudged offside just because his knee is in front of everyone else is another matter..
Swansea’s performance was deeply disappointing. I’d thought that they’d jump at the opportunity to get to their first FA Cup semi-final in over 50 years.

Nonsense, of course it was a guess. It was "ambiguous" on a video replay, don't tell me in live play the linesman saw the hair on Son's leg ahead of the Swansea player. No hard feelings though chap, the better team won in the end. Swansea have bigger fish to fry in the league, I think they will stay up.

De Gea clearly felt so intimidated by the inclusion of his opposite number in the Brighton goal that he's requested to be left on the bench.

Stolen from elsewhere:

'Watching Man U immediately after Liverpool is a bit like finishing the dregs of a weak lager (with fag butts in it) after quaffing a glass of vintage champagne. '

It's a joke that Spurs will be playing their semi final at Wembley.

How so fella? Everybody was talking about the Spurs "Wembley hoodoo" at the start of the season. Now we've shown consistency at Wembley it isn't fair? Hogwash!

Jebus, just heard Mourinho criticise his own players for being too negative. The bloke is all over the place...

I have to say Southampton have been disappointing this opening 15 minutes, sloppy passing, giving the ball away, Wigan have been the better team.

Embarrassing first half.

Gawd, not a great game, poor quality in the final third both teams. Credit to the Div 1 team, they are looking far more lively than the Saints, but cannot convert that pressure into a goal. The game needs a goal, Sparky must feel like he is back at Stoke...

Say what you like about Pellegrino, he has guided Southampton most of the way to an FA Cup semi-final.

Cant see Wigan coming back from this, they lack guile in front of goal, and will now allow Southampton more space as they go after the equaliser.

I have to say if I was a Southampton fan I'd have severe reservations about replacing a manager who had lost his way in the PL with another manager who had lost his way. Ay up, Southampton have just got a pen...

Fully deserved. We've dominated this second half.

Credit to Wigan for their first half performance though. We were lucky to get to half time at 0-0.

Credit to Southampton, much better second half, brilliant winning second goal. Wigan by no means disgraced, the PL side has superior fitness, it had to show eventually.
