Well over 50% of people who use social media rarely contribute opinions because of the fear that they will be targeted with abuse by people who don’t agree with them. Even more people won’t say what they really think for the same reason. Our rights to free speech are being denied by the shouty people!

Our desire to express our opinions on subjects we are passionate about is strong. Its even been proved that this makes our bodies produce chemicals that make us feel high. And yet we are reluctant to express our honest opinions because the abuse that can follow is just not worth it.

Opinyin is a revolutionary new concept in social media opinion that allows anyone to use a free to download mobile app completely anonymously to express their opinions on anything they want and in their own words. The system uses clever AI to make it safe from abuse and to make sure every voice is equal. It also automatically listens to everyone in the crowd and lets you know what people really think on any topic being discussed.

Forget traditional social media. There are already loads of really interesting opinions being contributed to Opinyin on UK football so why what not have your right to free speech and DOWNLOAD THE FREE APP NOW!

That sounds shit.

Just make a throwaway account on twitter if you are that worried about people not agreeing with you.

I think you just proved our point! Its not worry about people disagreeing. Its the way people resort to abuse when they don't agree with you that we don't like. If Twitter works for you fill your boots!

So you express your opinion to a bunch of anonymous people with an anonymous profile, seems like it might already have been done by forums...like this one. Your voice isn't being heard if it's lost in the ether of the Internet and will never be backed up.

Though I loved this bit:

" Its even been proved that this makes our bodies produce chemicals that make us feel high."

Well over 50% of people who once used onefootballforum.co.uk rarely contribute opinions because of the fear that they will be targeted with abuse and bans by people who didn't think it proper to honour a competition they ran.

To be honest this is not a good website to support if you're a business pledging to grant your users a platform to exercise free speech.

Good response and all good points. Here is how the app deals with them.

- We believe that opinions are more important than the person who stated the opinion. If this isn't the case then we don't get equality of voice and the world is dominated by the shouty people or people with an interest in manipulating us to further their own aims. Think fake news, alleged interference in politics, etc, etc.

- With Opinyin you address an opinion to the community not at another user. Yes arguably this is the same as a forum.

- No one has a profile therefore no one can respond directly to anyone else as you truly are anonymous. That stops the the idiots who argue by just chucking abuse at you as a reply because they cant or can't be bothered to construct a decent response. Opinyin leads them to reply with an intelligent opinion as posting abuse disappears in to the ether as its meaningless. For example I say 'Pep is right to wear a ribbon in protest' and someone just replies ' Your a f******g idiot if you think that'. Because the second post isn't linked to the first post by the topic its becomes meaningless. It can only link by referring to the same topic which in this case would be 'Pep', so if the same person wrote ' Your a f******g idiot if you think that Pep is right to wear a ribbon in protest' then that gets linked by the topic but as a general opinion in the community not directly at another user. Other users can still see the thread of the opinions on a topic like they can in a forum but nothing is directed at any one an therefore is doesn't become personal.

- Yes you can have an anonymous profile on any forum but when someone responds to your opinions with abuse rather than reasoned counter opinion like you did above, it can feel personal.

- Agreed your anonymous profile doesn't get recorded for posterity but your opinions and therefore your voice does as every opinion is recorded, analysed by our AI to extract the meaning which is aggregated with everyone else who as had an opinion on the same topic. Its a bit like being able to hear the opinions of everyone in the crowd at a game. Extract the meaning and then tell what the crowd is thinking ie. 70% are supportive of Pep, 65% describe Pep as 'justified', etc.

- With that above you still own your opinions and other people can respect them in the app. They can also express the same opinion as you which will make you a thought leader. All this gets recognised by the app by giving you community standing points. This gets recorded for posterity and if you want to tell others about it you can share this on other social networks.

- I should add that the app uses the AI to make it difficult for the nutters and animals that can exist on social media, to get any visibility on the platform, keeping it as safe as possible.

Though I loved this bit:

Fair comment as the 'its science' line is standard for snake oil salesmen. Anyway here's the science as it applies to any social media forum. The dopamine hit you get from expressing your opinions is apparently up there with food and sex!

https://lsa.umich.edu/psych/research&labs/berridge/publications/Berridge&RobinsonBrResRev1998.pdf

There is also more science that says we tend not to comment if we think we will get singled out for having a particular opinion. Let me know if you can't sleep and want to read that as well.

There is a place for all types of discussion and onefootballforum.co.uk is a great one. Our goal is not to replace passionate football forums like this but create a complementary place where people can exercise their right to free speech on football or in fact anything and quickly see what others think.

I don't think I would get much use out of it or that it would ever really take off, but I appreciate the hustle and the personal response. Could have a niche market I suppose. Good luck with it.

Not sure I understand the question.

Just got it. You mean Pinyin as in the official romanization system for Chinese on mainland China.

No that is a coincidence. Could also be fate or the interconnectedness of the universe. Either way it was actually just a play on the word Opinion. We are not that deep :)
