I think this will be our toughest game yet as Newport have had two good results and must be confident. The last three meetings between us have been decided by the odd goal and think Saturday could be similar.

Taylor said we have some tired legs after Tuesday so may be a couple of changes from the Morecambe game particularly as Law is doubtful. I’d like Lee Martin to start again as he has a great game on Tuesday.

Newport’s main threat is Amond who’s decent so will need to be wary. Expecting a good crowd too.

2-1 City. Forte and Martin for us. Demetriou for County. 4447 in attendance.

Good analysis, Newport will be tough but we are strong too and have a good home record. Think we'll get a point. 1-1

Not sure how we’re 1-0 up really. Newport have been the better team although only had one really close effort that we cleared off the line.

The ref is shit and the game is being played in the air too much for my liking. If we can get it down and play we should be fine. Stockley took his goal well tho.

Probably a fair result. Similar amount of chances from both sides but the Newport keeper had a blinder and Moxey had a shocker.
Thought we improved when Law came on for Boateng, I would definitely start with him at Cambridge.
Still top but I think we need to play better and take our chances as we have tough games ahead

Frustrating to draw as we were much better 2nd half. Their keeper, Day had a superb game when he pulled off a point blank save from Stockley and clipped one off the line.

A poor goal to concede but in general a decent performance. Aaron Martin was excellent at the back and Nicky Law looked classy when he came on. Poor from Boateng today though and Moxey will be disappointed with their goal.

Thought Newport were pretty good. They are physical and organised so expect them to be mid table this season as the probably lack some creativity in their midfield.

On to Cambridge now

Disappointed with only getting the point in the end. On another day that is an easy 2-0.
Don't take yer chances, pay the price.
