How come at non-league level with smaller clubs us fans can easily mix together, stand and have a chat with each other while game goes on, all go to same club-house before game, during and after in order to chat about the match etc, etc.

then once you hit FL level and above it seems almost an impossibility for fans to dare be in same sections together. I'd find it quite interesting in a way to watch a game next to a fan from a different country with different culture and approach to games.

Aren't sides hosting games forced to give a 10% allocation to the away end? If so why just 3k fans? I'd expect that kind of allocation for fans travelling from Eastern Europe or somewhere in that area but Koln? One of the biggest clubs in Germany? It's like giving Bayern & Dortmund 5k.

Its common in Germany, and pretty much encouraged that if the away end is sold out, but for buying in certain areas, the home clubs are quite happy to let away fans buy in the home sections. I saw Koln play Hertha Berlin at home in the Bundesliga last season, and there were loads of Hertha fans in the home ends spread about, and there was no bother about it when they scored the winner. It was the same both times Ive been to Germany watching Everton in Wolfsburg and Nurnberg. The Nurnberg one was ridiculous, loads of our fans bought online in the home ends, UEFA found out and forced Nurnberg to cancel all tickets sold to English addresses and non members. So loads went over ticketless anyway, only to find that you could buy tickets in the home end from the club shop the day of the game, with no need to hide the fact they were Blues,Nurnberg were happy to sell them to us, and at both games, there was no hint of trouble despite us having pockets all over the ground both times. To Koln, getting tickets in the home ends en masse is just normal away behaviour. Just for the fact that the majority who got tickets in the home ends wouldnt have bought them legitimately, but bought them from Arsenal fans.

We were absolute turd, as we have been the last 3 games. Had a brilliant trip over, glorious weather, and Everton ruin your day as they always do!

Correctamundo. The game itself was one of the worst Ive ever seen us play, but no regrets. Never a regret doing a European away. Except that time I went to Liege by coach to watch us lose. That was an experience Id happily have lived without!
