And, coincidentally, Enzo’s last post was May 21st. Double account confirmed.

Time for a re-brand following the departure of two of the competitors. Ladies and gentlemen, I'm pleased to announce that the new tournament will be 'THE NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE AND FRIENDS SUPERCUP'

So we will have us, Scunny, Mansfield and Northamptn. How do people feel about inviting a random team in like having Qatar and Japan in the Copa? I'm thinking maybe Carlisle because they don't really get to do fun stuff like this and they'll probably finish bottom cos they have about six players.

Northampton’s an odd one, like Cambridge in that part of the world where no-one really knows what to do with them.

Northampton is 4 miles closer than Grimsby yet I class you as a kinda rival but wouldn’t class Northampton as that.

It’s a shame to have lost both notts county and chesterfield to non-league football recently, but guess we’ll have to plod on

That's more to do with the last 10ish years as opposed to location though, I reckon? Even before you went down we were slogging it out for a few seasons in L2 relegation battles. I wouldn't have considered you a rival during the 90s and early 00s, but yeah you are now for sure.

Those all pale into insignificance though compared to the Non League Brotherhood table.

The last time we were in the Non League Brotherhood was 100 years ago this season, the Southern League in 1919-20. 1920-21 was the introduction of the Third Division.
Grimsby joined us in the Third having been relegated from the second.
Other current 4th Div teams in that inaugural 3rd Div were: Swindon, Exeter, Newport and Plymouth.

Newport are a different club

Acknowledged however they are still called Newport County (albeit with the AFC post noms) and, I believe, still consider themselves to have been founded in 1912 as shown on their badge?
They had a break for financial reasons between Feb and Jun 1989.

The NLB is only for MASSIVE clubs who find themselves exiled from their true home of the football league. Guess it didn't apply to you in 1919.

Current members are Wrexham, Notts County, Stockport, Hartlepool, Chesterfailed, Torquay and Halifax. I'm assuming Yeovil's stay in the FL was too short for them to be admitted to the brotherhood. I think York and Darlington are classed as associate members because they aren't in the conference national.

Oops.

Carlisle will be in the CUFC league. Better to take someone entirely insignificant and without merit like Bradford.
We usually beat Northampton easily and did the double over Scunny last season with the worst pile of shite going, count us in we might actually win this league. Been a while since we've played Grimsby, never know what you'll get from former old non league trash.

OK Billy Big Bollocks, I'll take the bait.

You'll get a trouncing in Cleethorpes and scrape a draw in Bratford. I see you live in Wilsden, anywhere Park Avenue?

:fish: I'll bite: I know that we have only managed one win in the last 12 against you (2 draws), however the last time we locked horns was at your place, last January, when we beat you 2-1...

I'm wondering whether Orient should be invited as honorary members of the CUFC league, since the CUFC clubs all share Jabo in common and he is the official patron of the league, perhaps his first and most loved club should be a part of his special little group.

The club had died by then, we got spanked 4-0 to Wimbledon the game after and won 2 or 3 games till the end of the season.

We never beat Grimsby and Eoin Doyle has more goals than appearances against us, we will finish rock bottom of this new league. Normally do alright against Northampton so might pick up a few points there.

I can remember you beating us 2-0 at your place when Laws was your manager in the season after our back to back relegations.
I couldn’t get a ticket which I was delighted about afterwards.
