The return of one of our classic local games.

We've hit a rut after a steady start, we cannot stop leaking goals. As I keep saying, we're a tidy side on the ball and give the opposition something to think about, but without it we don't seem to have a plan or clue. We're having to score at least two every game to stand a chance of getting something.

Poor Ross Embleton doesn't seem to have the nous to find any balance to our play, we're just too open and even when we tried to consolidate a bit more recently against Swindon, we was 3-0 down at half time anyway.

Also the loss of Lee Angol is a huge blow, Matt Harrold and James Alabi don't have enough about them to play at this level, if Angol is gone for a while it will be a struggle until January.

A heavy loss here and next week will only make the fans scream louder for a more experienced coach - Which if I'm honest, its what we probably need.

How many are you expecting to make the trip? Just seen that it's become all ticket for you with not that many left, so I'm assuming that's from the circa 1,800 allocation behind the goal?

Officially 1638 sold. Half of our fan base lives along the A12, which is why we usually take alot to Colchester.

Such an all too familiar tale, no defensive shape throughtout the team and duly punished in the opening 30mins - Second goal from Ryan Jackson was a blinding finish though to be fair.

Colchester could've really tonked us there if they'd gone up a gear at 2-0, there was a long period after that second goal where our crowd and team fell completely flat, we was rarely pressing for the ball and everyone seemed to accept another loss.

Colchester GIFTED us a goal right on half time, had we not got that then we really could've had a torrid second half. We had some moments in the second half and went for it at the end and on another day would've punished Colchester for a few lazy moments, but ultimately we keep conceding 2 goals a game and we can't keep trying to claw ourselves back into it with no shape without the ball.

Our circumstances over the summer have made things very hard for us, Ross was the right short term option, but longer term we need someone with more experience to come in and make us harder to beat again, because at this rate we will have a very, very long season.

Hard to argue with that really. I thought we played some decent stuff in the first half, albeit quite laid back at times. At 2-0 though we were cruising, really comfortable and I was expecting a very routine win.

Conceding the goal just before half-time changed the game though, and what a calamity that was - absolutely laughable! It swung the momentum in Orient's favour and they gave it a good go in the second half, on another day going in 2-0 at the break I think we would have won more convincingly.

In the end though we made very hard work of it and can perhaps consider ourselves a little fortunate to have got away with all three points.
