I get where Southey is coming from, but prices at certain clubs need to come down. The way I look at it is like this. If you won’t go to an away game because a ticket is £10 more than you’re willing to pay, then you probably don’t really want to go anyway. Away days are in the most part expensive anyway, so not going because of an extra £10 is stupid. Football nowadays is not the workingmans game it once was. It’s a business now, and a very popular form of entertainment. Anything that’s popular doesn’t come cheap. £30 is not too bad imo.

Only certain clubs get charged the big numbers at ours like Villa, Leeds and Blades, rest are usually 27-33 quid, sadly home fans pay that and above so it is what it is.

Reading never travel well, but that's still more then your taking to Wednesday on Monday, yes I know Wednesday is exspensive, and further to travel, but you lot are charging us 33 pound a ticket, is that what you are charging for Reading, also Derby charge to much for away fans, I am part of the 20 is plenty group, to many teams in the championship charge over 30 pound a ticket, ourselves, Wednesday, Sheffield United, Villa, Forest, Norwich, Bristol City, Leeds and others, I wish all clubs could agree a price cap at 20 pound.
Reading is 50 minutes down the road, Sheffield’s about 3 and a half hours. 1,200ish isn’t the worst turnout at Wednesday at those prices, it’s a shame it’s not today rather than Monday as would’ve made a big day of it.

I get your point, just think certain fans (not myself ). get priced out of it, fans with a family, and people on low paid jobs, I suppose I use to love it in the 80s, when you could decide on the day you was going on the football special, pay a fiver to get in, the atmosphere was electric, games away to Stoke, Villa, Sheffield United, Grimsby, Forest, Leeds, Wednesday, Spurs, West Ham and plenty of others always had a edge to it, now a days, it's over price, with to many lads on there phones, talking shit, and home fans sitting on there hands all game, but I still go and enjoy it, but not half as much as I use to do, rant over. It must be a age thing.

Quality day, met up with a few of the lads in V Shed and saw off a few pubs in the afternoon before nearly missing the last train back to Portsmouth.

Sore head this morning :shut:
My mate said he was singing in V Shed Friday with some lad in a Pompey shirt, was it one of your lot then?

All those places to drink in Bristol and you went to the Wetherspoons!

Nice weather to be out on the harbour having a beer I suppose, in fairness.

Still not sure mate. I regret not booking the Tuesday off as would’ve made a right day of it.

Could still have a full day sesh, dont drink on last leg, wouldn't be missing a game as important by choice, surprised your not going tho.

That’s what I’d do and just avoid drinking on the way back.

I’ve booked a couple of holidays this month mate so in need of pay day really. I may still go, probably decide later on tonight. Is your game tomorrow on Sky?

Weekend bender?

We’ve got Derby home next Saturday so that’ll be a big day. Then Millwall away midweek, our train gets in at 9am and we’re staying the night so again could be a heavy one. Two big games.
