Great away support, best in this division, and one of the best in the country.
Derby bring about 500 to us every year, leave it out
you talk shit, only if it's a mid week game do we bring that few, last time we played you , over 1500 was there, and your support home or away is shit, and also your vocal support is one of the worst I have ever heard, or not heard.

Last time you played us you brought 500-odd, though it was a midweek game. Last time you came to us on a Saturday (January 2014) you brought 1120. Only one of us talking shit in this exchange...

Derby hardly set the world alight when it comes to atmosphere either, that soulless bowl of a home ground does you no favours.

27k home crowds and take 500 away followings, bad that.

Derby have crap away support and just steal our songs just to sing them in the wrong tune.

All stands sold out Friday apart from about 100 in the John street stand where you have to take a child.

Police have killed it, but it’s still a proper derby. Could never imagine this fixture on a Friday night.

Sypd reckon it's easier policing a Friday night game than a saturday game at any time which I agree it probably is as saturday game would just see trouble from morning until the night ends. Sunday wasn't an option as it's remembrance sunday and a game at bramall lane completely clashes with that. This is the 4th one we've had on a Friday at the lane, none as yet at Hillsborough. On the other hand last season it was the most policed fixture in Britain ffs despite the crowds only being 31k and 32k, so they certainly go way overboard with it.

Sorry it was the most expensive game to police in the country, wether there was most police I'm not sure but I'd guess so on that basis.

I see why it would be easier than a Saturday tbf. I just cannot stand Sunday morning games. The Sheffield derby is my favourite neutral derby by far.

Very similar in many ways to you're own derby. Same city derbies where it is each teams main game, their ain't many.

Arsenal v spurs
Villa v Brum
Sufc v swfc
Bristol c v Bristol r
Stoke v vale , I'm not sure if that's stokes biggest game or not. But in my opinion these are proper derby games, you can fuck your Merseyside and Manchester as it's not even liverpool and man Utd biggest game because playing each other is.

We do draw a lot of support from outside the City, so for people like me, although it’s a huge game, I don’t have the hatred like the more local villa fans have. Growing up, my hatred was for Man Utd, and Wolves were more of a rival to me, because there are loads of them where I live.
