Happy with our group, would've preferred the other choice we could've had in Juve, Barca and Celtic though.

Tottenham sold our Champions League 4 game package over the past 2 days before we knew our opponents again. The fans will be happy with seeing Real Madrid and Dortmund this season compared to last seasons Monaco and Leverkusen.

I'm amazed there is a Spurs fan in existence who would be happy with their group. By far the most likely Englush team to be out at the group stage.

Especially given their performance in the competition last season.
Almost looked like Poch thought it was a distraction.

Yeah lets see if he can manage Europe and the league better this season than he's done in the last two.

I'm thinking for the fans going rather than how well we could do.

The games against Inter, AC and Real Madrid were brilliant nights at The Lane. Everyone buzzing as we were playing some bigger names rather than a home game v an okish team.

Last season looked a good draw for us to progress and look what happened. Hopefully the team step up when coming up against better teams. Bale and Modric will get a good reception returning too..

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
I think that's the best draw City have had yet in this.

Ouch for Spurs, though.

Oh no, Liverpool draw Sevilla, I sure hope it doesn't bring back any bad memories.

Celtic will have to aim for 3rd at best in that group, both Manchester clubs and Liverpool have to be fancied to get through. Chelsea have a bit of a tricky one there, can definitely win it but wouldn't surprise me if they finished 3rd, Spurs have the group of death, poor old APOEL will finish with 0 points.

Aye it could've been worse, though we've got unfinished business with Sevilla.

Spurs and Celtic though... :eyes:

What's unfinished about it Salty mate? They smashed you 3-1 then the final whistle went :dk:

Group C and G the most interesting/competitive groups for the neutral. F and H could see an upset if City continue to be a joke team in Europe and/or Spurs get their shit together.

Gianluigi "the boss" Buffon...

“I want to test myself at the Bernabeu and Camp Nou again, I want to play in another special evening game at Old Trafford. I want to experience the electric atmosphere of Celtic Park once more."

more evidence of the world wide anti city ragspiracy.

If he was free to say what he truly believed he'd obviously choose to play in front of forty thousand fans and ten thousand empty seats. booing the.CL anthem.

If any of you follow me on social media, you would have noticed my rant about:
1) How it is so fucking typical that the one season I have to save up for the World Cup, we get two fabulous away trips (Celtic for the atmosphere, Anderlecht for the location);
2) How unbelievable, spineless, heartless c*** UEFA are for putting our trip to Celtic in 3 weeks time. We play both viable away games (the Allianz Arena is a steaming pile of wank à la Emirates) before November which makes it more expensive for us away fans.

I don't give a fuck how we do. Our European season is ruined!

You know this will come back to you as soon as you are "celebrating" here some PSG wins (until the quarterfinals).

Zlatan has been included in United's Champions League squad.

Costa has been left out of Chelsea's.

First game vs Basel tomorrow, and my first visit to OT this season. Suspensions and what have you will see the side change, we'll get to see Lindelof for definite. Wilson is in the CL squad but as Rashford is in the B list he's still probably fifth or sixth choice.

----------------------------de Gea----------------------------
-----Darmian-----Smalling----Lindelof------Blind------
-----------Fellaini---------Matic-------Pogba--------------
-------------------------Mkhitaryan---------------------------
--------------Rashford------------Lukaku-------------------

Bench: Romero, Valencia, Carrick, Herrera, Mata, Martial, McTominay.

We could use something like a 4-2-2-2 and have Pogba and Mkhi attacking with Matic and Fellaini/Herrera defending.

Never been more confident of a win than this midweek game against Sevilla (*as long as we get a competent ref).
Karius
Moreno - Lovren - Matip - Gomez
Hendo
Can - Coutinho
Mane - Firmino - Salah

Maybe too attacking but fuck it, its at anfield!
