No idea which team will turn up. If the team that defeated Port Vale on Tuesday shows up at Cambridge we will surely win; however we'll lose if we return to the shite that was at the games vs Chesterfield, Yeovil, and Newport.

A draw here will be a good result.

I'm still trying to forget last years Cup nightmare.

Not full of confidence for this one. We can now do the away tactics/performance with 2 up top as well as the classic 4231. We still haven't shown that we can find the net often enough, nor do we have sufficient quality in midfield, to consistently get the results at home.

I can't see a lot of changes, if any, from Tuesday's team or the approach that we took in the first half. Apparently Jabo is still feeling his rib injury but it didn't affect him much on Tuesday. He really is a great steadying influence (as well as reliable goal sniffer) in the final third and with Forde, Legge, Deegan and Jabo we are developing an experienced workmanlike spine that are offering great leadership - doing a big part of Derry's job for him.

Brown looks better every match and that front 3 are getting used to each other and their respective roles.

Tactics wise, I get really uncomfortable with the space surrendered wide when we play the diamond but that is clearly our prefered starting formation against most opposition and the team seem to be getting the hang of it. Mingoia and Maris have realised that they have a lot more work to do and ground to cover than in the comfort zone of the 442 - which also worked reasonably well once we were forced back.

Forde
Halliday, Legge, Taylor, Dunk
Deegan
Mingoia, Maris
Brown
Ikpeazu, Ibhere

Subs: Mitov, Davies, Taft, Elito, O'Neil, Osadebe, Foy

I think crowds might now start to pick up as the holiday season finishes and the visitors should bring a few (might you top 1,000?). Should be biggest gate of the season and a reasonable atmosphere - 5,620 (970 travelling Sky Blues).

Head says 1 - 2 but heart says, with the meanest defences in the league on show, 3 - 2 to the U's. Jevani Brown (2), Jabo.

They tell me Coventry haven't beaten us in 30 years.

Who the fuck knows, is the correct answer.

Should be the same XI as Tuesday, hopefully the Crewe one and not the Barnet one shows up. Should be tight, one goal either way, maybe mildly entertaining at times, same as every week.

0-1.

We've sold 1000 so far, with pay on the day we'll probs push 1100.

Habbinalan you mention space out wide, if you let Jodi Jones have room on the right he'll have a field day. He's our only real attacking threat and I'm surprised teams still give him the room he wants.

Can see it being another pretty drab game with the first goal crucial, all 4 of our wins we have taken the lead and both our defeats we have conceded first.

Will go for an 0-1 win with Jones scoring.

Most predictions I've seen for this game have the result being a low scoring draw or Coventry winning by a goal. I can understand why, both teams supposedly have strong defences and goalkeepers. I'm not sure about Coventry but our strikers haven't been prolific recently.

Every time we make a step towards the Playoffs or the upper part of the league table, like we did against Crewe on Tuesday, we seem to drop points so I expect a loss tomorrow. 2-0 to Coventry.

I think we'll finally score two goals in a game. 2-1 to the U's.

Jabo and Brown.

Think we'll sneak this one, although we're not scoring much I like the brown, sauce and jabo combo, fingers crossed the back line stays fit especially legge and Halliday.

2-1.

Sounds like we deserved something today, but that's typical Cov ain't it

Great result, although the match could've gone either way I think. We were slightly the better side in the first half and scored with what was perhaps our only decent chance. Coventry came back strongly in the second half, and I was sure they were going to get a second after they got the equaliser, but Forde had another great day, though tbh I want to see their goal again as he was beaten at his near post, and whenever that happens the goalie has to take some of the blame.

Thing is that Cov somewhat inexplicably took their foot off the gas after that good 10/15 minute spell they had after they scored and they let us back in the game. Overall, while I'm obviously pleased we finally managed to beat a top L2 side under Derry, I think Cov deserved a point but that's football as we all well know.

A word on their no 11, Jones I think. He impressed me a lot, and I think he can comfortably play in a higher league. As for us, it's hard to single out a player as all had a great game but a special mention for Legge who I believe had one of his best games ever in a U's shirt.

Wouldn't be surprised if our shite owners decide to sell him to a team like Oldham or Wimbledon come January.

Coventry deserved something today but that's what you get when your forward keeps kicking the ball away to waste time when they were on top and looking the most likely.

Two great moves and goals from us today. Atmosphere was electric too.

Atmosphere was great. I thought Coventry looked good. One of the best sides I've seen us play this season.

Great win. Two great deliveries from Mingoia and two good finishes from our strikers. Forde saved us yet again.

I'm on holiday so missed it. I was keeping an eye on the result and I must say my heart sank when I saw Coventry had equalised. But it shows a decent amount of character for us to get the win in the end.

Good that Derry has settled on a team/formation and sounds like Mingoia and Maris are getting to grips with their slightly changed roles. The partnership between Ibehre and Ikpeazu also seems to be working well.

Obviously more work and progress to be done but definitely moving in the right direction. At the beginning of the season, I wanted Derry to get 15 points from the first 10 games (otherwise I'd sack him). Looks like he should make it and therefore we should be in for a season in, around or just short of the play offs. I can take that.

Mansfield on Saturday will be a tough game but if we come out of that with a draw then we'll be in great shape.
