21 minutes have now elapsed on by my watch. Has anyone else's team scored the opener against Cambridge United in that time, thus qualifying them as better than Man United?

Both teams could take a leaf out of WW1's book and stop for a while to play some football.

Watching Manchester United under Van Gaal.

All that video needed was a misplaced hoofed pass to end the move and it would have been spot on.

Well done Us so far.

If anyone thinks the BBC are being patronising to them, remember BT Sport interviews non-league managers in the middle of the game!

Phil Jones attempts to play hacky sack.

Looks like he's found his level tonight. The Conference. He's clearly not quite up to League Two opposition.

Only way Cambridge can lose this is by falling asleep by the utter tedious dross that is trying to play against them.

It's more that we are totally risk averse. We are happy to keep possession forever and tire opponents out towards the latter stages of a game with a view to nicking a goal, rather than take defenders on or look to create chances out of nothing.

Exactly their is nobody willing to stand up and be that man to make something happen. Its makes us a complete bore to watch.

It does, I agree. And it's a waste of our resources as well - what's the point in spending the money we've spent and restricting that new attacking talent in such a way. I'm sure it all stems from Van Gaal's nerves about our defence but that begs the question why didn't we spend that money on sorting out the defence first?

Its a shame Cambridge are sitting so deep in the 2nd half. They should go for it.

I'd be embarrassed by this if I was a Man United fan...
