So how have you concluded that all signings have slotted in very well when he’s barely kicked a ball?

Never said that, said 4 signings have fitted in really well to date.
Henderson in goal, who is far better than last seasons goalie Blackman.
Egan as centre back, started shakey, but looked really solid last few weeks.
Norwood centre midfield, been a revelation.
McGoldrick up front, intelligent and surprisingly good link play.

Anyway all 4 should be playing in 2 weeks after the international break on Sky Sports against Frank Lampards Derby, so judge for yourself.

We've not been on when you haven't that's why. In fact Boro at the start the only other
I've got IPTV with iFollow so can get every game and given we don't seem to play Saturdays anymore I could have watched your last three or four.

I don’t really care it’s only me being pedantic but he said all 4 summer signings as if that’s all you made.

To be honest forgot about Woodburn, he’s almost like the forgotten man.
Think we made about 8 signings in total. It’s not that important really.

Judge them against what? I’ve not commented on Sheffield United or taken offence about what you said about us — obviously we’re better than a “decent L1 side” otherwise we wouldn’t be midtable in the league above. I’ve seen enough of Sheffield Utd and the players you’ve mentioned to know you’re a decent side and they’re solid players.

I won’t be watching the Derby game anyhow as we’ve got Brentford away the same day.

That's making effort though, you'll have us on in 2 weeks at derby.

Did you watch the game on Sky today? I watched the Villa game on Sky and the camera angle is absolutely horrendous, I probably watched more of your game against Leeds than I did ours as I kept flicking over to it as it was more interesting and wasn’t filmed from an awkward position.

I'm not sure I will, off to Skegvegas for a last hurrah as my mate has flogged his van so we get one last use out of it.

I will be hopefully watching in sri Lanka can't see it though.

I think us and Wednesday will be midtable, perhaps a bit higher for Wednesday if their players they have out come back and hit the ground running, top 8 for your lot though. Not being knee jerk either, my pre-season predictions I had you 8th, Wednesday 11th (I think) and us 16th.

You'll be higher than 16th. We won't keep up with Boro, wba, and stoke, forest will be good in the end too imo. But who knows it's a funny game at times, I mean cardiff went up ffs.

Staying in mount lavinia, looks decent, can't be any worse than Kolkata or Dhaka which I've been too, got Thailand, Vietnam and Singapore 1st anyway starting this week.

Aye watched it on Sky, the cameraman was either off his tits or it was his first day.

I don’t think we will, we’re lacking something like Walkley said, and we’re so light in the middle now Smith is out until May, Johnson is persisting with Pack and Brownhill which isn’t working because the alternative is a 20 year old youth player from Everton.

Decent enjoy, that’s why I was surprised as I remember you saying how much of a dive Kolkata is.

Horrendous isn’t it, anything noteable in the Villa game he missed and the commentator was fucking hopeless as well so didn’t clear anything up.

Where abouts?

Was on Honeymoon so based in Tangalle in the south. Didn’t see much of the cities admittedly, although drove through Colombo and spent a day in Galle.

Pukka grub and 500ml bottle of lager about 2 quid. What’s not to like?

I'm looking forward to it although the weather is looking a bit grim.

Wouldn’t worry too much about the weather forecast. Before I went someone told me that when they had gone they were predicted thunderstorms the entire time they were there and didn’t see one. We had predicted thunderstorms when we went and I saw about 20 minutes of rain in the two weeks I was there. It was glorious.

Mind you thinking about, talking to the locals they did say that the week before they had torrential rain solidly for days.

Think it’s just one of those unpredictable places.

This time of year it is, that's why the one dayers are 1st, starts clearing up November time.

How to throw away a winnable game of football - by Bristol City FC. Miss a couple of sitters in the first half, then gift the opposition their opening goal.

JJH is right, too many underperformers. Paterson woeful, Brownhill lightweight, Pack anonymous, Diedhiou looked like a league 1 shithouse striker.

Well done to Wednesday, excellent away support as always and although they weren't at their best, they ground out the win.

I’m one of Paterson’s biggest critics but I thought he was our best player today and found it odd he was taken off. Even landed a heavy challenge on Bannan which is the first time I’ve seen him even attempt a tackle in the 2+ years he’s spent here. More of that and less of the feeble bottling please.

This came across much nastier than intended after reading it back Sheffsteel, no hard feelings mate.

Decent performance.

Just need to put the ball in the net from open play.

Shame as 2 minutes of madness at the back ruined us.

Agree, it was a decent/ good performance if you’re hoping to keep away from the relegation zone but if you’re hoping to reach the play-offs then it wasn’t good enough. Lots of effort but lacking quality.

Wednesday can be playing poorly but always have a chance because they have a few quality individuals who can score a goal from nothing.
