Nice to be back at Ashton Gate after two gruelling away games against two quality sides.

Fancy our chances here even after Derby's last league game, I watched it and they looked decent but weren't tearing Hull apart, just took all of their chances well.

I envisage more changes as ever, we can afford to be a little more expansive on home turf.

Fielding
Vyner Flint Baker Bryan
Paterson Brownhill Smith Leko
Diedhiou Reid
Incredibly harsh on Bailey Wright and I'd be happy if he was in the lineup ahead of Flint, two fantastic options. I'd like to see Taylor play but I think he'll stick with Diedhiou and perhaps rightly so after he scored in the week as he looked good after the goal.

Bristol City 2-0 Derby County (Leko 41', Paterson 79')

Looking forward to a good day out in Bristol. Some decent pubs for pre and post match crawl by the looks of it. Haven't been to AG for about 30 years so looking forward to seeing the changes.

We've sold just over 1,800 according to our official site. No potd.

As for the game, we made 11 changes for the EFL cup game on Tuesday so those that come back in should be fresh. Our record after making such wholesale changes for cup games is terrible in recent years though but hopefully the gamble will pay off Saturday.

I think we'll sneak it 2-1. 19,000 or so attendance.

I'll be pissed if we don't get a decent result here after throwing away Tuesday nights game, hopefully the 11 changes will be justified come 5pm.

Derby a good side, expect we will lose this.

4 points from Reading and Wolves away and Derby at home will be more than most of our fans would have predicted going into them 3 though.

Hope I'm wrong and we get something.

Wouldn't say we're any better than the previous two teams you've just avoided losing against. Wolves tore us to shreds at home.
I agree with you on that, and we are better at home than away, but I wouldnt have expected a win at Reading or a draw at Wolves- in the Wolves thread I said something about hoping the weather made it difficult to play for both sides and us snatching a point.

We're shit. Easiest three points of the season here for Bristol City.

Future England number one Frank Fielding to got himself on the scoresheet.

Brizzle 2-0 Direby

You'll probably finish above Reading in fairness but I see what you're saying. Shouldn't lose this one at home and I don't think we will, one home defeat since February and it was a game we had nowt riding on it.

Only 2 defeats in our last 16 apparently, both being Birmingham

Should be over 20k there, with Derby selling 2000 and the bring a friend offers for our fans. 1-0 to us, late Reid winner.

Derby look a decent price at 2/1 tomorrow, surprised the bookies have us as such big favourites given their result last week.

City playing well, should have had a couple. From the Lansdown lower, at that end of the ground, it didn't look a penalty for me; minimal contact.

An absolute battering.

No surprises with the loss but the overall performance was shocking. To think that whole team had a night off in the week to focus on this. Fuck me Rowett, sort it aaat.

Well that was comfortable in the end.

1st half we missed a couple of good chances, so should have been up at the break, dodgy penalty and all.

2nd half we were the only team in it. 4-1 was a fair reflection of the game overall. Derby didn't offer a lot to be honest, so can understand the reaction from their fans on here.

So many positives, but my MOM was Paterson. Everything positive went through him. Honourable mentions for Pack, Smith and Leko, who were also good. Even Diedhiou looked bright when he came on and took his goal well also.

7 points from Reading, Wolves and Derby; happy with that.

I don't want to get carried away but we look a really good team. Last season we started well but we didn't get close to hitting the levels we are now. Easy work today, not often you go in a goal down and get the reception the team did at half time.

Possibly our most complete performance since we've been back from League 1. Is the LJ regime starting to blossom at last?

We're Bristol City, far too many times we've seen us start well but fade. Hopefully this one of the few times we maintain it.
