I’m glad Smith’s gone as he always has LJ on toast but I don’t expect Brentford’s new manager to change the fundamentals of what has made them fairly successful for a club of their size in this division in recent years. Think we’ll get totally outclassed here.

Maenpaa
Hunt Webster Baker Kelly Da Silva
Pack Brownhill
Paterson
Diedhiou Weimann

Brentford 2-0 Bristol City. (Maupay 27’, Watkins 63’)

9,681 (1,727 City)

We’ve been a mixture of very unlucky, and just bad, over the past few weeks. We probably deserved to get more points than we have, but wouldn’t surprise me if we continued our run of “meh” results here.

Maenpaa and Fielding both injured.... kid in goal on Saturday against the side that average the most shots on target in the league. This is going to be fun.

Bit more than a “kid” though isn’t he. 22 now, has been chucked in the deep end with us before and did well and has had rave reviews in loans since, albeit at Conference level. I’m sure you’d pick him over Fielding any day of the week injured or not..

Few of us getting the train to Reading, get off there and head to Feltham. Then it’s a short journey into Brentford.

Shit load of ciders and a City win, then straight back after the game and head into Motion for Chase and Status.

Saturday done right.

Not bothering with this one as I just can't be arsed given some of our pathetic displays of late.
We are trying to play as we did last season but it's so bloody slow and it does my nut in!
Like JJH, I fear a bit of a shoeing on Saturday but will find a stream to watch it if I can be bothered.
Unusually, I'm quite disillusioned with City at the mo and am questioning our leader a bit, again.
Good luck to Max, I hope the lad does well.
Bees 3 - City 1 (Fammy) then a total melt down on OTIB. :(

Not for Brentford away I wouldn’t. I actually can’t think of a worse league game to make your debut for in this division.

I don't hold much hope of us getting anything here. Every time we play Brentford, they match our formation and make us look like a conference side as they are better than us at our own game (or what used to be our game, God knows what it is now!)

I expect a routine 2-0 defeat but it's the subsequent games against struggling sides that I'm more concerned about. Hull, Reading and Preston, got to get a good return from those games.

Cheers for the offer, the ticket office refused to serve us but a nice chap helped us out. Enjoy the game.

Ref ruined that game. We should have won easily, dropping far too many points.

Had a massive chance to do something this season and we’re blowing it.

How to completely shithouse a win by Bristol City FC.
Thought the away support today was really good to be fair, one of the louder teams to come this season.

Our atmosphere was awful today after the first 15 minutes, every game just goes the same way at the moment.

Have to say the ref seemed on our side, for a change, but I couldn't give a monkeys.
Jack Hunt in your player's ear when he had clearly lost the plot was quite funny.
Have to give praise to Lloyd Kelly and JDS, really good performances from young players.
Well done boys.

Knew I'd come on here to find a comment like this from you, even went on to Brentfords Twitter to see the general consensus from the fans..And not one of them blamed the ref. Saying you should of won easily is laughable, that's the worst I've seen you play against us.. You barely created anything.

As for the ref, he probably did give us more but your players yellows were fully justified, sawers challenge was utterly pathetic and pack was lucky not to get an injury there.

Anyone know if taylors first half goal was definitely offside? First impression was it should have stood but not seen any replays.

Draw would have probably been fair, definitely not an "easy win" for Brentford

You guys had had two shots until we had Mepham sent off. Both of the cards given to him were pathetic from the ref. In addition to all the chances we had before the red, including a really bad miss from Maupay, we also hit the post after.

Knew I’d eventually come on here to a message like this from you. You guys created nothing till we were down to 10 men. You’re so blind it’s ridiculous.

Are you in the Griffin?
I was yeah, great day.

Can’t remember the first yellow MagpieBee but the second was totally justified, could’ve even been a straight red. We deserved the win on our second half showing, same old Brentford you play some nice football but are shit in both boxes, you won’t go up this season, business as usual.

The first yellow he shoved pack, yellow card all day long. The second he t9ripped our player who would have been through for a dangerous chance. Second yellow and sent off deservedly.

As for no chances created I suggest you go back and look at the highlights, we clear did. The irony is you calling me blind, when every week you're on here blaming the ref, or the opposition lucky. I'd say you're the one that's blind.

The first was him shoving pack a couple of times after a challenge which didn't involve him, actually thought the yellow he gave pack was harsh

As I said before - you only created chances after the red card, nothing before.

I stand by my comments on refs and a bit of luck. Luck is absolutely vital in this league, and we’ve definitely lacked a bit of it this season. That and not being able to defend in the last 3 minutes of a game.

Everyone’s gonna be on here claiming Brentford will go down again before long, just like last season!!!!
