Flying back from honeymoon on Sunday, gutted to miss it as should be a good game. Expect us to keep the same line up, though Jeanvier and Benrahma both are pushing for a start.

We’ve been brilliant so far this season, odd to say that the game at Stoke was two dropped points, should have won. Hoping we’ll make a good attempt at promotion this year.

2-1 to us is my prediction, Watkins and Macleod with the goals.

Dalsgaard Konsa Mepham Barbet

Macleod McEachran Sawyers

Canos Maupay Watkins

It's been a pretty positive few days for us, winning at Sunderland in the cup with a lot of home grown talent on show, and the EFL lifting the transfer embargo. Sadly I expect we'll be brought back down to earth here, on their day Brentford can outscore anyone in this league and considering how suspect we look at the moment I'd be shocked if we keep them out. Would be pleased with a point but we could really do with getting that first league win on the board, can't see it being tomorrow.

IIRC we don’t have the best record against teams that play a back 5

Sounds like it should have about 10 if it wasn't for Wednesday's keeper

Sounds like we continued our imperious form, and should’ve scored a lot more.

Shame we dropped points against Stoke, as should be sitting here with 3 wins out of 3.

What a shit day, trains were a complete fuck up because of a fire on the track somewhere in the midlands, train gets delayed sat outside St Pancras for the best part of an hour, just about make it in for kick off sober as a judge to watch another defensively inept performance.

We were playing alright and not allowing Brentford to impose themselves on the game, then 20 minutes in Hutchinson gives away a ridiculous penalty, Matias has a golden chance to send us in at half time level and fluffs it. Second half we were second best all over the park, losing every second ball, out battled and the second goal is an absolute embarrassment. Every time we got into the final third the final ball was either played too hard or not enough on it giving the defenders a chance to get a tackle in. Bannan was our best player by a mile, when he starts moving forward with the ball he's a real threat, sat on top of the centre backs not so much, his shooting is still probably the worst I've ever seen from a Wednesday midfielder. Dawson made some good saves, Brentford could have had a few more if it wasn't for him. Never expected anything from this but it's concerning at the moment how disjointed we look, desperately need Lucas Joao back fit so we have a link man between midfield and attack. Hope for better against Millwall on Wednesday night.

Brentford play some really nice football I think they’ll finish in the play offs comfortably, early shout I know but I thought last season if they didn’t start slowly they’d of made them last season too. Enjoy watching them play.

That was what we all thought as well, and what the table would back up. We've conceded 2 goals in 3 games, one of those goals being a long range effort through a crowded box and the other a defensive fuck up. This time last season we'd conceded 7.

Ollie Watkins is turning into a class player, hope he can keep this consistent throughout the season. This is probably the best squad we could have to want go up and I don't really fear any side in this division.

We have the ability to absolute blow anyone away when playing at our best, but I don't think we'll be that consistent and so probably make the play offs. But I'd be more than happy with that after consistent midtable finishes.

IIRC if the season had started 11 games in, so after our terrible start, we’d have finished 3rd. Shows how good our recovery was.

Obviously that has been our undoing most of our seasons in the Championship, we tend to go through a spell where we can’t pick up a result, but there’s something that feels a bit different about this side.
