Hoya we've just signed 2 of your players, Robertson and Vassell. I'm a bit underwhelmed by the signings at face value to be honest.
Warne said he wouldn't sign anyone unless they were better than what we already had and then signs players from a club who finish some way below us.
Anyway what are your views, are they any good and do you think they could make the step up to the championship?

I obviously know that although we have no debt we are completely out of our depth when it comes to spending power, ironically against clubs who are millions of pounds in debt!
But our chairman announces there's money to spend, so I'd hoped we get some experienced championship guys on free transfers enticed by good wages - well good for us- and then we get two players from mid table league 1.
That's why I wasn't too impressed but they may turn out to be good signings, that's why I was asking Blackpool fans.
If the were Doncaster players, I'd have asked you.

Edit: to add we had vassell on loan a couple of years back. He was shit but he scored one good goal. Then he tore us to shreds for Blackpool last year. Based on that he was Cristiano Ronaldo but honestly I think it was more us than him.

Where in my post did I come across as arrogant? I just stated a fact that we've signed players from a team who finished well below us.

You don't know me but you've already decided you don't like me and that I'm arrogant just because like you, I support my home town club.

That's a good point DVR, Ipswich fans were laughing at us when we got Kiefer Moore on loan from them and he turned out to be one of best ever loanees, as did Bury fans when we bought Smith from them and he turned out to be the perfect replacement for Moore.

Just because they finished below us doesn't mean they have 1 or 2 players who could get in our first team, I would have Maddison and Marriot in a heartbeat and Peterborough didn't finish in playoffs.

According to Blackpool fans on their forum, we have pinched their best 2 players when they're fit and both still at a good age to improve so they might prove to be good signings whether if that's in league 1 again next season.

If I was the manager I would be fetching similar signings on similar wages just in case we end up in league 1 again anytime soon so we don't end up getting relegated with players on championship wages and having to rebuild again.

That's fair comment, Reaper. We're going to have to do a very fine balancing act with the weights not in our favour, maybe this is the way to go. Just have to trust Warne's judgement, he's been correct so far.

Just because Blackpool finished below you it doesn't mean certain players they have wouldn't be upgrades on what you have, I'll be surprised if Vassell makes it at Championship level tbh. Going to be tough for the Millers to survive but you already know that.

Whenever it cut to the lashers on Radio Lancs, Vassell always seemed their main threat and the commentators always seemed more confident with him in the side. Injury prone though.

No idea about Robertson.
