So lets start a topic on your best young players to see if others agree.

Rules:

1)Need to be in or around your first team
2)No one over 20 years of age
3)Reasons why you think they could play at a higher level
4)Have they been linked to anyone higher up in the league's?

I will start it off with an obvious one

Ryan Sessengon
Fulham
18

Already shown he can be an asset to premier league clubs with his speed.

Linked to most of the premier league's top 6

George Hirst.
17 years old, striker scored over 40 goals last season for club and country at u18 and u20 level.
Being looked at by Premier League clubs, Everton imparticularly. Would love us to loan him out to a league 1, but definetly not sell him, may even be able to do a job for us now.
He could do a job because he is a natural goalscorer and is the son of God.

We will take him at Gillingham. Although I like Pennock were still yet to score a goal

Brentford, Newcastle, Chicago Bears
Sergi Canos, Rico Henry and Neal Maupay for us, we've also got a couple of others who are just a bit older than 20 (Ollie Watkins for one)

Sergi and Rico will definitely play in the PL one day. Both are key starters for us, and I reckon Rico stands a chance of playing for England one day

Conor Ronan is something special for us who came through o̶u̶r̶ Rochdale's academy. 19 year old who can play anywhere in attacking midfield. I'm sure he will play in the PL someday soon, with or without Wolves.

Ipswich
Andre Dozzell (18)
Flynn Downes (18) (arguably the MOM against Brum)
Tristan Nydam (17)

All have played in the either/both of the games so far this season and all through out academy. Mick finally giving youth a chance All midfielders who like to pass it.

Dozzell is now out for 9 months though.

We've also got Bersant Celina on loan from Man City (21 in September) and I reckon he'll be spoken about a lot this season!

Josh Earl at PNE, I think he'll go out on loan this season as we've signed O'Connor as back up to Cunningham but I think he would have been more than good enough to act as understudy. Only 18 but he's a good 6ft'3, very confident on the ball and can compete physically.

Linked with Newcastle last month but don't know if there was much in that rumour.

Extend it to 21 and i'll put in Liam Kelly. Possibly our key midfielder already, dictating the play. Probably one of the better passers in the league already. His rate of development has been crazy, from playing half a season on loan at Bath in 2016, and got his first Irish Senior Team call-up at the end of last Season. Stam calls him our answer to Iniesta.

I also did not realise until last week we had the England U16 captain. I only found out as he is probably moving to Chelsea for a big fee...

Second the Liam Kelly shout, oozes quality.

Just a shame he is from Tadley!

Max Lowe & Timi Elsnik are probably the pick of the u21 bunch. The former is always injured, the latter is constantly brought up when the argument about youth players coming through. He's looked very good whenever he's played, not at all that often.

We have a very young lad, Max Bird, who seems to be the next in line as a prospect who could genuinely make an impact on the first team. Although, he's probably two/three years away.

Made his professional debut against Reading on Saturday and looked very solid.

Alex Neil is obviously a fan:
"You're not going to get many 18-year-olds who are six foot three and can run like the wind. He's got real potential and hopefully we can harness that potential and make him become one of the top left backs."

Keinan Davis, Aston Villa, 19.

Looked good against Brighton at the end of last season and was fantastic against Norwich on Saturday. Too early to tell how good he will be but has massive potential.

One to keep an eye on for sure.

Interesting season for young player who is just starting to break into the team, 18 year old Joe Sbarra. Very small lad with very fast feet. Southampton rumoured to be following his progress.

Ruben Neves is probably the better than every 20 year old in this thread combined.

Won't be the best young player in the Championship. But one of our better youth lads is Lloyd Kelly.
18 year old LB who hasn't looked out of place, and was brilliant against Watford.

Reckon he will be a ready made replacement by the time Bryan leaves.
Today he got his first England U20 call up.
