Yeah no doubt the issues are more than the formation. But given the way he's shoehorning people about, it can't be helping.

Utterly ludicrous decision to give Wenger a new contract. They'll never be a challenger while he's still at the helm. Nailed on for 6th this season, 7th if Everton get their act together.*

I thought the two second half strikes were unforgivable goals to concede, really. Yes, they were being well and truly outplayed by Liverpool but they were still in the game. Ridiculous kamikaze defending on both occasions.

*wouldn't usually proffer what might appear to be a rather knee-jerk response three games in, but it's Arsenal, and all too familiar.

Cech
Bellerin - Kos - Mustafi - Kolasinac
Coq - Some sort of training cone
Sanchez - Ozil - Iwobi
Lacazette
That's still going to ship goals and it'll probably struggle to pass through the middiel

CM options are embarrassingly bad.

Elneny and Ramsey or one with Coquelin is workable surely.

Robbie's motionless, solemn face while this muppet rages  Arsenal fan tv is a gift.

Robbie is just trying not to smile as he sings Abba's "money, money, money" in his head.

I don't think we've ever won a game in which Coquelin and Elnent have started together. Neither are good enough on the ball, although in a 3-4-3 it might work better as one of the centre backs can step up and help transition from defence to attack.

If Ramsey is to play as a deeper sitting midfielder, then it means sacrificing the one thing that makes him a good player. His ability in the opposition box.

Maybe Wilshere will regain fitness and save the midfield....

At least Wilshere will put up some fight before he gets injured.

I dunno if starting on youth team players is the kind of fight they need.

Fam, blud, fam.

Didn't see any of the game today. I'm guessing Arsenal didn't change from their usual tiki taka style of football...

They looked comatose, there wasn't even the usual inventive Arsenal passing.

Looks like the players have realized Wenger set them up for defeat then.

You can't short pass around a team who play like Liverpool. Arsene can't seem to get that into his head.

Another one saying how good Mane is - 'better than Sanchez!' - from an Arsenal fan. :D

Wenger just signs players who don't seem to care about defending too much. And the ones that do aren't very good at it, or Wenger gets them playing in such a way that it invites pressure onto his defence.

Arsenal have really struggled with pace and intense pressing for years, and seemingly do nothing to address it. I can understand why they gave Wenger a new contract after winning the fa cup, but I can't see them breaking back into the top 4 this season

I was listening to Gary Nevilles commentary on the game yesterday, and is this really why people think he's a good pundit?

His attempt at faux rage was embarrassing, he was 'fuming' at the players apparently.

And the bizarre boast that he turned up to the gantry an hour before kick off.

It was like listening to Alan Partridge, fair play it was at least amusing even if the footballing discussion was at a talksport level of analysis. No wonder he failed so badly as a coach.

I'm sure he was fuming, he surely doesn't like it when any team makes Liverpool look so good.

Arsenal usually start the season well which must be a concern.

2 defeats already.

Surprised Ox has went to Chelsea; can't see him playing more games for them than at Arsenal. Mind you they'll push him (or break him) and that's what he needs.

Arsenal will try Giroud at left back now I guess. Monreal and Kolasinac in at centre back.
