Absolute party atmosphere this one. We can also put a big nail in Birmingham's rellygayshun coffin too. Earliest train to Wolves gets in at 11.15 so most of the drinking will be done post match.

Ruddy
Bennett - Coady - Boly
Doherty -------------- Douglas
Saiss - Neves
Costa ----------- Jota

Obviously all Wolves have got to do is turn up and the game is won, barely even worth the superstars getting their boots muddy for. Total and absolute procession, I know because the NFWFs on Radio WM have told us, right after they told us Wolves should be breaking the bank to get Marcus Rashford as he’d be honoured to play alongside Neves and co.

Hopefully keep it in single figures, Wolves 8-0 followed by pitch invasion, followed by riot :box::lol:

Good set up by Birmingham so far, sitting off and then pressing in the right areas. As a Gilet wearer myself I always like to see Gary Monk too, looking particularly splendid today.

Pretty harsh on Birmingham. Interesting to see what they do from here. Opening up chasing a point may be more detrimental to them if they ship another couple, because of how poor their GD is. Although not out this by any means.

Easy as you like. Absolute pleasure to watch this lot. Best side ever to grace the 2nd tier.

Stock standard, hard enough keeping them at bay with 11 men, having to play the last half hour with 10 made it virtually impossible.

Only on elligeable striker, as much as he tries his heart out Juke can’t do everything, sounds like Sam Gallagher is close, and Che will have served his ban next week so hopefully give us something more threatening.

To lose this 2-0 isn’t disastrous, it’s what we all expected really, massive three games coming up, getting tired of going into the final few games desperate for points

Harsh red for me as Costa isn't really in control of the ball however ref let quite a few challenges go in general so think it was a communitive total that might have got the better of them there.

The scoreline flattered us, tbh. I thought the scrap dealers deserved a point. They closed us down well until the first goal and again after they went down to 10 men.
They had a lot of fighting spirit and I hope they stay up. Shit few years for them. Other than coming from Birmingham, that is.
Thought Stockdale was class and also that Wes Harding.

How far do you go back? There has been some good teams in the second tier. Your style of play is what makes you stand out.

We're the best team to watch. Only team I think you could compare it to is Fulham under Jean Tigana in the early 00's

Seen as you're not being biased (much) neither will I, our 90/91 promotion team was a pleasure to watch and won the league cup to hand, followed up by finishing 3rd in the top tier, followed by beaten finalists in both major domestic cup competitions.

Less biased Newcastle under Keegan were pretty impressive and further back in time, nobody will ever match Cloughie's Forest team, promotion to the top flight, followed by Top flight winners, followed by European Cup Winners and then just for good measure retaining the European Cup.

Sure you're right though, Wolves are the greatest team to grace the 2nd tier and the best to watch.

I thought Wolves were the best ever in this league too but they have sadly failed to prove it. Won't beat Reading's total of only 12 years ago.

That Reading side were just relentless though, I don't recall thinking they were amazing to watch but may be wrong. I think that you may get someone break Wolves record of most points for a 3rd place finish this season. Also was it Frank Clarke in charge when Forest came up with Collymore and then finished 3rd? That is an incredible achievement. The (forest) Walkley mention are all mainly from the backpass era so that should be it's own cutoff point. Especially as you used to have to win about 6 games to get to the European finals then.

Mark is probably on about in recent times, I think, but even that's up for debate, and impossible to give a definitive answer. You mention some great teams though, including that Wednesday team. Forest also won two league cups for added measure.

Sorry, I thought "best side ever" wasn't just recently.
Haven't you also had some pretty decent 2nd tier sides?

Nah, people have been slating us all season, just giving it back is all. Works both ways. I'm enjoying rubbing it in to be honest, feels good.

Have they? All I see is people praising you to be honest, the only bit of slagging you is to do with the money/wages you've paid.

I/we get called arrogant on constant basis for being confident. I'm tired of trying to be gracious to be honest. The bare truth is that we have absolutely 'smashed the league' (in the words of Middlesbrough owner Steve Gibson). We have played the best football ever to grace this level, and the best player to ever play down here.

Our envious rivals threw allegations against us saying we're breaking the rules, saying we're breaking FFP (coming from some fans in this league is beyond laughable), and that we'll fall away in the winter because some of our lads won't hack it. So yes, it is a great feeling to stick a middle finger up at every one of those people after the season we've had.

That my friend, is arrogance.

I was giving him the benefit of the doubt. Half decent, but not that good where you could compare them to the truly good teams like that forest team.

I think it's more jealousy of Wolves rather than arrogance from Wolves fans from what I've seen, particularly on here. Obviously some fans are giving it the big un on Twitter but I don't really blame them after the antics with Villa, the way Derby, Leeds etc were whinging about their legal transfers. I'm usually pretty gracious until something irks me then I get it off my chest, if I was a Wolves fan I'd be rubbing it in to those who were c*** before the success.

you've been comfortable winners, but wouldn't say you've smashed it.Its had to get to this late stage of the season to move away from Cardiff who caught up with you, and was right on your tails the other week. Not sure about the best football, or player ever to grace this division. In recent times probably, but there has been some very good teams, and some fantastic players who have graced this league. You have been breathtaking at times though, I will admit. You've got some fantastic players.

Ive literally not seen one person slate Wolves on here since August. Mark seems to be defending them from imaginary people in his own head.

Probably should of elaborated more, meant more in general, not just this forum.

Well stop acting like a prick on here then when not one person has said anything to slate wolves, go and gloat to these imaginary people that have done.

I remember watching us at home against Southampton when they first got promoted the other season. They played some great stuff, and finished mid table in the end. I said to one of the blokes next to me that within 3 years they will break the top 6, and they did. They assembled a fantastic team, and I truly believe if it wasn't for the big boys coming into take their top players season after season, they would have got top 4, they could have been that good. All that was within 4, or 5 years of being in the championship, then being a top team in the prem.
