Genuinely pleased that Rochdale avoided the drop last season, ditto ourselves !

Always a tough match against these lads, Cod Army coming into this with a couple of good away wins and looking to get their home campaign back on track
While I look forward to Derby games, they more often than not disappoint, and I think we could still be waiting for our first home win 1-1

Dale were there for the taking but we did not make our superiority count. I was very impressed with the dale player, Kgosi Ntlhe, he is definately one to watch for the future.

Cods were impressive in spells but then fall asleep at other times, this needs to be ironed out quickly if we are to mount any sort of challenge. A real postive for us is that we can start with a strike force of Paddy Madden, Ched Evans, and Ash Hunter but have the option of replacing them with the likes of Bobby Grant, Conor McAleny and Wes Burns and even Chris Long.

2 tough away games in Scunny and Charlton next, any points from these would be most welcome.

Thought we were the better team in the first half, but lacked pace up front, where Wilbraham seems too cumbersome despite some decent touches leading to many moves fizzling out after good build up play.
Super save from the Cods keeper just before they went ahead.
Second half, we messed around with strange formations and players playing out of position, and it would have cost us dear but for all the timewasting by Fleetwood, which led to 5 minutes of added time, during which we equalised. Hill is a fabulous manager, but seems to go loopy every now and then, making some frankly ridiculous decisions.

I agree...Fleetwood appear to have an embarassment of riches in the striking department. Hunter was the best player on view, together with a solid display from Ex Dale player Ash Eastham.

Draw was probably just about right, although Fleetwood will feel it's 2 points dropped due to conceeding so late.

Cannot argue with anything you wrote.
Looking at the highlights your penalty does look a bit soft considering your player was really tugging at our players arm in his attempt to 'fall over' but I am not going to cry about it because Dale could or should have scored earlier, particularly Kgosi Ntlhe's header in the first half.
Like Codaplenty said, genuinely pleased that Rochdale avoided the drop last season, good club, good set of fans.

Was with us as a kid and broke into the first team as a 17 year-old and stayed there for a couple of seasons before he broke his leg...was never the same after that. Good to see he might be getting back to a bit of form. There is certainly a decent players in there.
