Radged is all about knee jerk reactions and bizarre decisions. This is why he's called Radged.

Singh and Gray good pals then? Wouldn’t surprise me to see him given the job till the end of the season, was one of the final three before Hignett got it.

I honestly don't know if they are good pals, but it was Gray who tried to get Singh in because he needed/wanted more money to spend.

I dunno if you remember but many Poolies were killing themselves laughing at the thought of Singh returning to Darlo - and rightly so, we would have been a laughing stock if we allowed him back to the club.

It wouldn't surprise me either if Gray got the job, but he would want money to re-shape the squad and here is the potential problem - Radged would happily give him some money I think, but sooner or later he might stop funding the deficit if he sees no progress.

Radged says he's learned from his mistakes, that he's different now, but ultimately if he sees his fortune going down and down he may crap himself and call time. You can have all of the best intentions in the world but if you're slowly losing the money that you built up over the years, you have to get out.

You'll have to refresh my memory on that cos the Darlo as we knew it are extinct, the new club don't get talked about all that much if we're being honest.

Look, Singh was the only man willing to save us, it was that or start a new club like you did, we had no choice, this is his and our first bump in the road under his stewardship, let's see what happens before you wank yourselves into a frenzy over our demise.

BTW, I love how Alun Armstrong felt the need to come out and distance himself from the Pools job yesterday, like he would even be considered for the job the whopper :fl:

I'll ignore the Darlo/extinct bit because it's just a figment of your imagination, and say that similarly Pools don't get talked about much by us either - it's been a long time. However, yes there was a few laughing about it on twitter and on the bunker, and in any case, I can't say I blame them.

Look, Singh was the only man willing to save us, it was that or start a new club like you did, we had no choice, this is his and our first bump in the road under his stewardship, let's see what happens before you wank yourselves into a frenzy over our demise.

I agree you had no choice regarding Singh, it is what it is. This new club thing that you keep on going on about though - nothing more than an FA label pal. I've probably not told you this before because I don't like to go on about it  - but we saved our club, bought the assets, took on the playing debts and exited administration without a CVA, just the same as Bournemouth, Leeds and Luton did. Hopefully that will help with your misconception regarding our great 136 year old club going forwards.:fing:

And by the way, I wouldn't go on too much about so called new clubs like Chester, Middlesbrough, Bristol City and Halifax if I were you - there is no shame in starting again after having a bad owner.:lac:Still the same fans isn't it.

What if it happened to you down the line? What if Singh or the next chairman put you in admin and you couldn't save your club like we did and went bust? You'd then - unlike us - be a new club, and it would be interesting to see what you'd say about new clubs then.

For the record, I don't think Singh will put you in admin like he did Darlo, he will be more than aware what people would say if that happened again, and maybe he really does want to take you places, maybe he is 100% genuine in his claim that he has a point to prove (though admittedly I struggle to believe it)

BTW, I love how Alun Armstrong felt the need to come out and distance himself from the Pools job yesterday, like he would even be considered for the job the whopper :fl:

The logical explanation for this would be that he didn't feel the need to come out and distance himself, but someone will have asked him if he is in for the job.

Also, why would you think it hilarious that AA would be considered for the job - you're not going to be in for Klopp are you? He's a good up and coming manager as proven at Blyth, and according to speculation Martin Gray is in with a shout?

Now THAT would be funny :fl:

Darlo fans slated Martin Gray when he left for York even got lots of promotions for them,I’ve always said he looked a decent manager and certainly signed good players.
Gray or any other manager at the time at York would not of worked.we had 6 players on between 50 to 90k happy to toss it off.
A big reason why Watson is doing well is down to Gray signings. He has just made them better by having better players around because high earners were out of contract.
Gray would do well at Hartlepool for me.

Odd timing, sacking him after their game was called off. Unless today was supposed to be a farewell?

That's his wife soup. Tidy for her age though

Maybe there is something in it then as we all know if a football manager’s wife likes a tweet it must be true

And I’m with ya, she isn’t bad at all

Has Challinor ever really achieved anything though? Me or you could've got them promoted with their budget - this season seems to be the first time they were challenged and he failed miserably. Seemed to get by on relying solely on Danny Rowe - one trick pony as a player and a manager.

They are the best footballing side I’ve seen in 3 years here. Agree he probably should’ve got them up on their budget but he’d be a step up on anything we’ve had since Danny Wilson.

He's achieved more than you monkey that's for sure. Been superb for us. Just a shame this season hasnt worked out. At the end of the day though we lost 8 players pre season to football league clubs and he brought them in and improved everyone of them.

He did well with Colwyn Bay though they were also chucking money around at the time. His style of play will be hard to replicate at another club in this league without loads of cash.

Suspect he'll get a decent job though.

Has he ever achieved above expectations though? I doubt it.

I think you're on a wind up but go on I'll have a nibble. We won the trophy. We weren't favourites. Is that above expectations?

You were second favourite (joint with Salford) - and Orient weren't arsed about the competition.

Yes, a bit on the wind-up, but I'm sure he'll get found out as soon as he gets a club where money is tight.

So the first time in 2535 days Dave Challinor is no longer in charge of AFC Fylde, his record during regular league seasons was: Played 353 Won 195 Drew 79 Lost 79 Points 664/1059 Promotions 3 FA Trophy winners 2018/19
