Alfreton Town 0 Darlington 0

We are getting their slowly with another valuable point gained - But i felt utterly deflated leaving the ground after the match. It really was a game of two halves we didn't really click in the first period and Alfreton were slightly the better team with a couple of chances they had, especially Styche he had a reasonable half chance, other than that we kept him quite for most of the game. A very poor first half, typical, they were kicking towards us the first half. And all the action in the second half was at the other end.

Maddison's opposite number, Ramsbottom had to be alert on numerous occasions with some fine goalkeeping in the second half - He made some blinding saves i lost count on how many he pulled out the fire. I think DSL must be thankful for his keeper's excellent goalkeeping.

I was a bit wary seeing Ainge back in defense - But for me he was easily our man of the match, closely followed by Smith and, also Thommo and Saunders & Nico were lively up front. As the final whistle approached we came really close to winning the game.

I thought the referee was very whistle happy and booked anybody that moved - Other than that he was okay. It was good to see Styche get a round of applause at the final whistle.

Great away end at Alfreton one of the best in the league i think. Decent following of Quakers about 230 got announced.
Yeah. Poor game. Sam kept us in the game and if any time deserved to win it was you but generally I thought it wasnt a great advert for the National League North at all.
We are awful. We have players low on confidence with no belief and some even actively avoiding the ball. We are in such a malaise of shite.

If FC United beat Ashton next week time to look over our shoulders I think.

Thought Alty looked the best side we have played this season for the first 30 minutes but only managed a single goal, we then started to get back in the game, after half time and into the second half we tire them a new one, terrific second half display, the Newby's were outstanding with Meppen Walter again a stand out performer. Sorry Alty but you need to get rid of that liability between the posts, he was awful. Very good going forward but poor in defence. On now to next week and the visit of Guiseley.

Alfreton have signed defender Dominic Smith on a 1 month loan from Telford. Thought he had a good debut yesterday

How was he during his spell at Southport Swedes?

Watson should be a decent appointment for York.

Two points dropped for us. Once they were reduced to ten men it was pretty much an attack v defence training session.

We equalised after going behind through a soft one but couldn’t play our way though a brick wall for a winner, fair result I suppose. Amy Fearns was in charge and by hell she threw in one of the worst refereeing performances I’ve ever seen.
If that was the referee that reffed the Harrogate semi final in the play offs then I fully concur. She is the worst referee that I've seen in a long time, however the best I have seen was Elizabeth Simms.

After our games yesterday I guess it's a toss up who are the dirtiest team in this league between Guiseley and Alfreton, with Alfreton just shading it.

More than happy with him, surprised to say the least, thought we would get someone like Moyses,Flanaghan.
For once fans seems to be all together with this appointment and our forum is actually positive for the first time in years.
No pressure for this season,Pep couldn’t get these players to perform.

Much needed win for Boston at kiddy. Our first win at aggborough since 2004 and my first win there at the 9th attempt!
Not much in it, few chances but I'd say we just about deserved it. A penalty helped our cause and we survive a strong shout for one for them at the end.

Next up leamington at home. They've beaten us last 2 games and we struggled to break them down, I suspect with less quality up top it'll be another low scoring game.

Neither team really deserved the win. We didn't ply well and morn did you.

But the referee my god was the worst I have ever seen. Missed blatant kicks from both sides gave dubious free kicks and was so random in his decisions.

Not 100% convinced at the penalty shout at the end as it was a powerful shot I'll need a second look to judge. But your penalty was the worst decision I have ever seen. Heaton kicks the ball away and gets caught on the leg by your number 9 and somehow it's a pen. Your number 9 knew it wasn't a pen as well as he had a look of shock when it was given.

He was a forgettable player in what was admittedly a poor side. He barely got a look-in once Kevin Davies took over. He might have come on a bit since then, but he didn't set the world alight with us.

Joe Ironside did nothing and not sure what’s happened to him at kiddie but looks slow and lacking confidence.
If Billy Heath gets the job it will be end of me,can’t stand that way of playing football.

He was welcomed back here and showed us exactly what we were missing. My motm by far. Held the ball up brilliantly and grabbed a goal.

I know i must admit wasn't pretty to watch if i was a neutral fan doing a bit of groundhopping.
I thought the referee didn't help the flow of the game, he was constantly blowing that whistle when no real foul had been committed.
If it wasn't for our second half performance we both would have been as bad as each other.
I'm not sure what Heath's touchline instructions were to Styche? But he looked in a fog.

Yep, they won't lie-down FC United they keep bouncing back.

Best I've seen referee a Darlo game is Lucy Oliver, she was very good, so much better than the load of crap we have to endure in this league.

Amy Fearn reffed our game on Saturday and I was trying very hard to give her the benefit of doubt, but I'm afraid someone out of the crowd could have done a better job.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
3 vital wins for Curzon over the past 2 weeks, its opened out the relegation battle.

Nuneaton and Ashton look gone, but FCUM could hit a good run some point throwing a few sides into it all.

The amazing thing is Curzon can easily yet go down but have a superb away form, maybe 2nd-3rd best in the division.................just been so shocking at home.

BPA looking out of gas so maybe between Chorley/Stockport for title

Today 21 year old Darlo forward Harvey Saunders has signed for Fleetwood for an undisclosed fee. He rejoins us on loan until the end of the season. Great move for the lad after he has come on leaps and bounds this season. Here's hoping for a strong end to the season from him.

First game for new management team last night in county cup, played full squad.
Won 6-1 against a poor Redcar team, first half played good, second half awful,Watson was taking notes in stand after 15 mins in 2nd half went to dug out, throw jacket on floor and certainly told defence how he felt, they all started playing again not like before when they couldn’t be arsed.
Think I’m going to like this manager?
Stockport to early and can only see a home win but don’t think we will be soft centred any more.

Today our supporters trust have invested in the club, with two members joining the board, things looking positive both on and off the pitch

There a long way to go yet CUFC. We've slipped lately, which is due to an horrific injury list. Most Chester fans would expect us to win against you lot tomorrow, but I'm not sure. We couldn't beat a poor 10 man Guiseley last week, but our home form is the best in this league despite our recent blip.

Big game down at EP tomorrow as we entertain York City. naturally you'd look at the league table as say this is a home banker. Particularly the way we've been playing of late.

But you never can tell how a club is going to react to the bringing in of a new manager so I'd expect York to be gritty and determined to get a result.

I think it'll be a close game but one we'll come out on top of with a narrow 1-0 win.

Has someone deleted my post about the Mental Health awareness we are doing tomorrow for the Spennymoor game?

This site has been awful the last few weeks.

Our away form suggests this is the 3rd hardest home game you’ll have so far

We ain’t fantastic and have lots of injuries but know what to do away from home this season so won’t make it easy.

I wanted to do the Deva, some fond memories was I think my 3rd ever away game back in 1992 but trip is too much trouble with 6 month old.

Curzon fans looking forward to it, actually running a coach of away fans, we may have 50 odd which sounds poor but we only have 150 fans so 1/3 of support.

We've signed Ben McKenna from Bradford PA.

Got plenty of wingers so that is a bit of surprise to be honest. I suppose regular starters Mahon and Mooney are both somewhat out of form though and Jackson is having to cover at right back at the moment.

Attempting to bring in a striker on loan as well with Asante still out but that'll probably next week.

Brackley have signed former Coventry Midfielder Carl Baker from Nuneaton Borough ahead of tomorrows game.

Almost strike me as a good side Brackley so tomorrow is sure to be a tough game although they dont seem to have hit the heights this season.

We need a result because FC United are highly likely to beat Ashton. Unfortunately I have little faith and I am braced for a very low crowd if the game beats the weather.

Should be ok tomorrow I should think.
