While County did us a favour last night, they are still the one team in the division I feel uncomfortable about facing.

We never turn up against them, and I can't wait to get the next three weeks out of the way.

I don't think anyone is excited about the prospect for 3 games against an Alty side who are bang in form! As I mentioned in the FA Cup game, I was mightily impressed with the way you played, just seemed to lack that cutting edge that you seem to have had all season.

It's nice to finally play a local team over Xmas and NY having played Harrogate twice and Alfreton in recent years.

Problem with us at the moment is we're very inconsistent. Draws against Nuneaton and Hereford, and defeats to Alfreton, Boston & Blyth but then convincing wins against Chorley (league and cup) at home, Sp£ndymoor away as well as Yeovil away in the FA Cup.

If we could be more consistently good, we'd be in with a shout. Otherwise it'll be chasing the play off without ever getting there.

If we keep Meppen Walter after this then I'll be very shocked. Don't know how he's only facing 6 months considering his past.

Never rated him, hes a liability

The one game I saw (in which we were shit and Chorley were decent), I thought he was awful. Didn't even know it was Meppen-Walter til later on - but I remember Carlisle fans on Radio Cumbria saying he was dreadful too. Someone will still pick him up when he's out in a few month's time.

Am shocked Heath is still in a job, I am guessing Alfreton have flogged that much money in summer on Heath and his group of players they cannot afford to get rid.

Darlo I think also only keeping manager down to money but think they are quite open about it.

Could see either drop, making for an open relegation battle

Unfortunately Big Dave we haven't got any money to get rid of Tommy Wright, with financial difficulties totally skint. But hey, when he takes us down he might just piss off.

Good win today in horrible conditions. Much better with 442 in second half. Only downsides were Anson and urwin both coming off with injuries. Anson was bossing the game until he came off.

Agree with CFC4LIFE, played well second half, worryingly gave away another bad goal but came back well, could have had 6 in the second half, quite impressed with Hooper who added a lot of energy when he came on. Sub keeper Eccles did well too, great to see Alex Newby back amongst the goals even if it was a tap in. Still think we need to add a couple, principly a striker.

Richard Money says Pools are recalling Lewis Hawkins from his York loan, seems strange?

I think the Darlo fans deserve a mention today, they supported their team really well and seemed a really good group, special mention to the guy who ran along the Ashby street side minus his shirt after they scored, my God it was freezing and he was stripped to waist and then only wore his football shirt after. Very entertaining, well done pal.

Josh Butler - Is Craig Elliott under real pressure at Boston yet?

How many players you used now this season?

Surely gotta be Andy Park the lad's a Darlo legend. Took his shirt off in the pelting rain at Workington!

That’s a low attendance for them. Was the weather particularly foul up in the NW?
Yeah, whole of the West up and down the country got it really bad today, worst for quite a while to be honest.

What an absolute bellend. Already done time for killing two people whilst drunk driving.
Bellend barely comes close. It's the law that's the real fucktard here though - that treats people who kill behind the wheel whilst drunk / speeding / driving deliberately aggressively as merely aggravated driving offenders, when they should be prosecuted for manslaughter and be serving 10 years plus for this sort of thing. That twat can come out and continue with his life, whilst destroying others.

Well the CMW news at least backs up my reasons to outright boycott Carlisle the moment we walked into Prison to negotiate a contract with him, was extremely disappointed and ashamed when we did that. didn't mind a guy being allowed another chance in life, but that should not have been with us walzing into prison offering a nice confy contract at him.

It was terrible down here too and the FA Trophy is now not an adequate inducement to come out!

That would be me haha. Was on the way to the bar and seen we scored. Naturally I went mental.

Thanks for the hospitality in horrific conditions.

Yes, I drove down the M74 and M6 yesterday and at times it was a struggle to hold onto the steering wheel.

Alty v County would've been a decent crowd but for the weather. I took one look at the forecast, remembered they have an open terraced away end and thought "no chance". (well done to those who braved it though!)

Watching the highlights it looked horrendous at times

Not National North...but Leamington's participation in the FA Trophy came to an end on Saturday at home to Hartlepool, which was also Richard Money's first as boss at Hartlepool.
The game was ruined by the awful weather, which also had a factor in the low attendance of 334. This would've been double, maybe even treble the crowd if the weather wasn't so foul!

In terms of the game, not the best! Hartlepool deserved their victory and played some nice stuff at times. Leamington will be disappointed they didn't offer more going forward but no shame in losing to a team a division higher.

Local derby tonight for us away at Ashton United. Been there for a pre-season game but never a league match.

3 points a must which would see us move into the play offs spots on goal difference!
