Can’t believe we won. Rovers should’ve won but a missed Penalty and some very poor defending handed us the victory.

Very disappointing for them as they probably won’t see a side poorer than us this season.
Shame for them eh!

Just superb stuff from us today. Coasted a little bit in the second half as the job was done, but still looked threatening when we got forward and were totally in control. First half we just overwhelmed Plymouth with superb attacking football and you have to say that tactically Adams got it all horrendously wrong combined with some shoddy defensive work.

Collins got man of the match but could have been anyone. Justin at left back, Lee, Rea, the centre halves all of them superb.

Got to credit the Plymouth fans for seeing the funny side of it all and continuing to sing in the second half, I can imagine they were exceedingly pissed off at their side.

Can’t complain about much at the moment, just really enjoying seeing us play so well and in a manner that’s so enjoyable to watch, not even looking at the table or worrying about getting into the playoffs, just keep playing the way we are at the moment and I’ll be happy to see where it takes us.

What a performance from Luton. The second half was a bit of a non event, but when you win 5-1 after being 4-0 up at HT who can complain?!

Some of our attacking play was sensational; beyond League One. The third goal was fantastic. That said, Plymouth’s defending was keystone cops stuff.
Beyond league one? You are playing Plymouth. Get down back to planet earth.

Beat Coventry 1-0.
Most comfortable 1-0 for a long time.
Coventry were disappointing.

I said a while ago, just play James Justin. I don't care the position, he's too good not to play. It may be harsh on Potts but Justin is a significantly better left back. Justin contributes so much more going forward and hasn't put a foot wrong defensively.

We surely can't hold on to him much longer the way he's playing but as long as he's here I never want to see him left sitting on the bench again.

He has done well at that left back position and Potts certainly has a battle on his hands to get back in the side. Today with space Carey afford him by basically ignoring tracking back he was absolutely devastating.

With the way Stacey is playing this season im pretty confident he will be going in January and that will leave Justin the right back spot for himself. He needs to stay at one of the fullback spots though for me, I don’t think playing him in midfield does him a good service, unless in very specific circumstances.

Walsall the best passing side seen at Highbury so far this season, Fleetwood would have been relieved to have gone in at half time all square. Second half we made a go of it and were much improved, all in all though a draw totally fair result.

Seems like Paul Caddis made an instant impact, let Hopkin bring in who he wants and get rid of the shite Rahic brought in and we might just have a chance.

Good result today, big week ahead for us now.

Despite Plymouths poor form we still had to concentrate on the job in hand. Last season we failed to do that against some of the lower placed teams but this season its a different story. The game was over after 45 minutes and we not surprisingly eased off second half. We are starting to put a very decent run together and confidence seems to be growing especially at home where fans, players and management have created a great bond which certainly helps the atmosphere in the ground and the performance on the pitch. Said in my preview that we have depth in our squad to cover the loss of Hylton and that was proved today. NJ has a nice problem with the level of competition for places. Its becoming increasingly difficult for him to decide who to leave out. An example being the return to fitness of Potts who was on the bench today because of the impressive form from James Justin who after todays performance should keep his place next Saturday. Not getting carried away as all teams have a good run of form at some time. However looking at the season as a whole to date we seem to be ahead of schedule. As for Plymouth they clearly have a lot of work to do in the midfield and defensive areas where they were constantly torn apart. Maybe Sonny Bradley knew what he was doing when he signed for us in the summer. Have to feel for the 800+ Plymouth fans today. A loyal bunch who spend a lot of time and money following their club and were rewarded by a very sub standard performance. Could have been a lot of worse had we kept up the same tempo second half.

Done over at Oxford today. Scored a perfectly good goal when an Oxford back pass went directly to one of ours who stuck it in the corner, yet the linesman gives offside. Cracking Tom Daley impression from the Oxford chap for the penalty though - didn't think that movement would've been possible from the incident involved!

Have to give credit to Barnsley -they look a decent side and had a great away following which helped us achieve a record attendance at our ground. I'm pleased enough with how we played overall but we didn't take advantage with having the extra man. Only our 2nd home loss in 2018 so can't really complain.

Local away match at Rochdale coming up next.

We were poor yesterday but Wycombe worked harder than us and showed why they continue to get results against teams at the top of the table. They would have been worth the 3 points if not for a touch of class from McGeady and giving Maja that much space.

Our winning run ends but we continue to grab points from the Jaws of defeat. Walsall part 1 next where hopefully Maja starts and Maguire finds his form again.

What a load of rubbish!

You did not "score a perfectly good goal" as you claim. The whistle had already gone before your player shot, our keeper didn't even move to try to stop it, so to claim it as a disallowed goal is ridiculous.

On the penalty, there was contact, even though Browne was going away from goal. The fault lays with your keeper, who shouldn't have come charging out as he did.

The fact is it was a mediocre game between two mediocre teams on the day. Fairly even first have, with us being on top for the second half. If James Henry's effort that hit the inside of the post, then bounced out, had gone in when we were one nil up, it would have been game over.

I'm quite pleased that we got three points, were never really in danger after going in front, and still have several players to come back from injury, suspension, and international call ups. Seven League games and two cup games undefeated now and only conceded from open play in one of them, so steady improvement, and more to come.

To say Gillingham got "done over" is laughable.

Reckon Daniel Barlaser could step up a level?

We're supposedly watching him.

Not a Stanley fan obviously but found him highly impressive in our game with them a few weeks ago. Superb range of passing and was a key part of their tactics in that game to switch play quickly. Most of their play went through him in midfield. Really liked the look of him.

Ryan Colclough confirmed as out for the season, massive blow to us losing our best player.

I heard Peter Ridsdale was at our home game last weekend so its likely there's interest. He's currently on loan from Newcastle but we've been really impressed since he broke into the team and we believe he can step up.
We've got 8 on loan at the moment so I cant remember who's here until Jan and who's on a season loan.

Are Louis Moult and Sean McGuire still regulars for you? Both had loan spells here a few years back.

Maguire's hamstrings are knackered, only started 3 games this season, when fit he's one of the best strikers in the Championship but his injuries are wearing thin now.

Moult is back up, got class about him and has popped up with some important goals off the bench but not really suited to leading the line week in, week out in the second tier.

How is Nick Anderton doing for you? Was a decent young player but didn't quite make the grade here. Good to see he's worked himself back up the leagues, shame he's on the scum's books though.

How has McGeouch been? We were supposedly interested in the summer. Sniffing around Maja as well by all accounts, don’t think Eisa and Maja up top for us would please Sunderland fans too much...

Joethegill’s still at it I see, surprised he hasn’t become bored of it, can’t be much fun supporting Gillingham FC and trying to make out they’re something they’re not.

Anyway, while the Bristol WUM gets added to the ignore list, we've got Luton at home this weekend. Fully expect us to get beaten, but we do have a habit of upping our game against some of the better sides in the league - it's the ones below us that we tend to have issues with. We've got almost a fully fit squad to pick from this week, with Reilly, Parrett and Parker all expected to be ok to play, and changes will surely be made from the mammoth trip in midweek. Would probably expect 3 or 4 changes, and I'd go:

Holy
O'Neill / Zakuani / Ehmer / Fuller
Lacey
Bingham / Byrne
Parrett
Eaves / List
Bench of Hadler, Garmston, Oldaker, Hanlan, Charles-Cook, Ogilvie and Reilly

Think we'll score, but so will Luton. 2-1 away win. Hylton to cheat at least twice. :hypo:

Would be elite level cheating as he is suspended!!

This is an important game for us I feel, coming off the back of our best win and performance of the season so far we really need to be looking to back that up with a win away from home. We have been imperious at home and last week was the pinnacle of that, away from home has been a lot more difficult for us and we have looked a little fragile.

If we back up last week with a win then I think we can really look to cement ourselves in the playoffs at perhaps higher headed into Christmas. With our January fixtures looking to be huge at the moment (Sunderland, Peterborough and Portsmouth) these next few are a really important set of games for us.

I dont really see how we could change it after last week, perhaps an argument that away from home we cant play like we did last week as we are unlikely to see the ball as much or be as on the front foot, but with the confidence high I think it would be crazy to change, even if Hylton were to be available.

Looks like we are close to selling out our allocation for this so should be a good atmosphere, hope any rain stays away!

All my Donny mates are expecting to get battered but we don't seem to play as well at home. Personally expecting another scrappy close game.
