The amount of blatant fouls that Akinfenwa gets away with is farcical. QUOTE]

Clearly not true. Ainsworth said so in his post match Interview, so it can't be. (Also, they have a small budget don't cha know).
Apparently Fuckinfenwa doesn't foul, just uses his strength.

Spoiler - non Luton comment...
i can see us hitting a bit of form now. 2 wins in a week and 4 new signings in has gave us some fresh impetus.
Liam Boyce is quality at this level - and if we can keep him, and devante Cole starts scoring, then we could be moving up the league.

Oh come on every fan bar a Luton one in Leagues 1 & 2 despise Hylton for his diving for penalties when no defender is within touching distance, our fans aren't the only ones who call him DDDH.
We - like many in the modern game - have a player that takes advantage of being touched and uses it to his advantage. You on the other hand are a whole team of manipulating cheating mother fuckers that clearly have it coached to them. Major diff. Fuck off.

Edit. Had been drinking so just a tad ott. But you get my drift :)

I've never heard Danny Hylton being called "DDH" by anyone else.

Diving Danny Hylton?

Bit simple, like?

I thought the idea of a chat forum was to post comments about the game. Are we doing something wrong?! :ffs:

I get it, can get a bit tiresome reading through a page of stuff about one club, it is after all a League wide forum rather than just about us, and we have had a rather in depth conversation about us on the previous few pages. I got a bit bored last year of the Lincoln stuff at times for instance. There isn't a great deal of other posting going on though, so at least we are contributing I guess.

The main problem you Luton lot will find is that the promotion places in this division are sewn up by whoever gets relegated from the Championship.

The rest of us have nothing to do on here apart from poking whichever overly optimistic and excitable fan base hasn't seen L1 football for a handful of years.

Post away, mate. If we wanted to hear about just our own club we wouldn't be on this site. People can just scroll down if they get bored.

It certainly does seem that way. We took a point off them but Sunderland were clearly a level above and considerably better than anything we have seen in a league fixture for a long old while. Not played them yet but Barnsley seem similar, feeling good about my pre season flutter on them to win it!

Oh boy, if you were impressed by Sunderland wait until you see Barnsley. Arguably the best football team on the planet.

The best bit is Burton, who will look shit all year, draw every week and inexplicably end in the playoffs where they'll grind out a win against AFC Wimbledon, a plucky underdog that everyone likes that did everything right until a collapse of form in April.

Next season, Reading will get 200 points.

Very good but you have to choose a different plucky underdog unless you know of any unsigned strikers going free.

It's fine, it's only a problem if you get a takeover of trolls representing a certain club like we had with Rotherham in this part of the forum a few years back. You Luton lot are fine - so far :shifty:

As me and Craig are the only Barnsley fans on here and discussion about our team is arguably underrepresented, I'd just like to point out again (in case anyone missed it) that we do actually have the best team on the planet, Kieffer Moore will win the Ballon D'Or and Daniel Stendel will become president of the EU in 5 years once he's established us as a top 4 premier league side. Cheers.

Decent pies at Oakwell too, so that Michelin Star is only a matter of time.

Bradley is just shit at everything so far. Can't run, can't track, cant turn, has zero positional and opposition awareness and sure as shit doesn't know where the goal is when has a open header at the other end.

I'll trade you Bradley for any one of our defenders? Literally any, take your pick!

Perhaps it was just one of those things where he clicked here, he was a mountain.

In other news it appears that we are still crap. Going to need another turnaround this season, hopefully we can scrape enough points together to stay up. Need at least a point at Rovers on Saturday and then to start winning at home.

Oh and to stop giving away penalties.

I'm sure he's a lot better than he's shown. Maybe he's one if those players that needs a few months to bed in and get some confidence in his team and himself to transform from cup cake to rock.

Interesting to know from league one users why this forum is so innactive. The League two section is very lively in comparison and generates a lot more discussion topics. There seems to be a decent number of users from a number of clubs, not just Lincoln. On this forum Luton fans seem to be in the majority (at least in their contribution) so no surprise our discussions dominate the General match thread. The solution is to create our own match threads so we can moan and groan as we see fit.
I joined this forum to chat with other clubs supporters and to get more information about whats going on in this league. Find it odd that some users make sarcastic remarks about the frequency of our contributions. It seem they have no interest in generating topic discussion themselves in which case you might as well close the site.

Class goal from Lewisham John against Posh at the weekend. Seems to be developing into a very good player — wouldn’t be surprised to see him in the Championship before the season is out. I also have a soft spot for players who expose the ‘natural talent’ claim for the myth that it is — good coaching, hard work and studying and reflecting on your own game is always the difference. Eddie Howe turned a bunch of League One/Championship pretenders into Premier League players by following that philosophy.

He’s a big favourite works his balls off but you can see he isn’t a natural finisher he misses too many soft chances, hope he stays and helps us to the championship but wouldn’t begrudge him going if the money is right

After deservedly losing in the opening game we haven't lost since in the League. We were disappointed not to beat Scunthorpe at home last week after creating many chances but just seemed to be a bit short up front still - we made some last minute loan signings but they weren't able to play last Saturday.

Burton at home this weekend - a team we have played in the Unibond League, Conference, League 2 and now League 1 - the clubs have had some interesting battles over the years!

The new stand is progressing well now for anybody that has previously been to our ground and seen the old cow shed...

Nice but surely you could have been able to get a 2or 3 more rows in that stand?

What's the capacity gonna be after that? Will away fans get any seats or just the terrace?

Looking forward to seeing the nice shiny new stand on Saturday while I no doubt get pissed on for 2 hours whilst standing on that open terrace.

Port vale fans have the same accusations- as they outweigh most other teams on this forum. It’s the way it goes. I am the only burton fan I think - we used to have trevor1946, earwig and one other but they seem to have fucked off now, so you are stuck with just me.

Shame he did did not read the 'You're not a natural finisher' e-mail prior to the Posh game. His finish was class, in fact he was a bloody pain in the arse all game !
