Fucking cheating c***, should be down to 10
Who Cornick? Lyle Taylor had already got his shot away? But a bit of a grey area that one.

Charlton may feel a bit unlucky, they’ve had a lot of play; but Luton’s counter attacking play has been breathtaking today.

Bloody brilliant game though.

As it stands v Luton...
Barnsley 8 points behind with 4 games left
Sunderland 9 points behind with 5 games left
Portsmouth 10 points behind with 5 games left

We can almost smell it.

Thought Shea should have probably gone. But unfair to call him a cheat, he was trying to get the ball, hardly “cheating”.

Charlton should now have a pen. Just to upset Lamby even more.

Charlton do get their penalty. Bit of a soft one, but think it was correct.

Not sure Bielik will be having any more children after today.

2-1 Charlton now

Edit: 3-1 now - just not turned up in this half.

Strange feeling losing after 6 months to the day unbeaten. 76 game unbeaten run after scoring first goes up in smoke.

Not entirely surprised at losing today really, always felt like a bridge too far for me missing some key players. We did fairly well first half I thought, clear plan was to look to play in the counter and we looked fairly effective doing that. Scored a nice goal and had some pressure afterwards, a shame Moncurs effort didn’t dip in rather than the keeper make a smart save.

Second half different story. Absolutely awful from us, turned in a really sloppy performance gave the ball away too easily when we did have it and just got dominated by Charlton. Impressed with them, liked the look of Aribo in the reverse fixture and he looked really good here alongside Bielik and Williams. Once they scored the penalty I think most people in the ground could see the way the wind was blowing. With a lead to hold we might have been fine as we were still defending our box pretty well up until that point but the penalty changed that. No complaints really after that, got bullied off the ball especially up front and really disappointed in the lost discipline at the end with Shinnie. No need for that lunging challenge and we now have another game missing a key player.

Well we're down.

No fight in this team and a god awful manager.

League 2 here we come.

But you won’t be playing on your patch matey, you’ll be playing on ours.
Of course, but i don’t know how you can say you’ll genuinely think you’ll win considering the state of the two teams. We had an off day today.

It’ll be a very close game. Charlton were lucky to scrape a point in our home game. I’m just gutted I can’t be there.

So the "big 3" have each lost a game in the last week. No panic at all. We are still perilously close. Sunderland have proven today that you can't let your strike force bail you out of a match.

We need 4-5 points. We can do that next weekend. 2 more wins out of 4 and Barnsley cannot catch us. Sunderland v Portsmouth is going to be a huge match.

As always Easter usually decides everything... we have Accrington (A) & Wimbledon (H). We have to be looking at maximum points there.

Finally back in 2nd, hopefully we'll make more work of keeping this position than earlier in the season.

What a 4 days that was...

If anyone fancies watching a bit of comedy tonight check out the stylings of Flanagan and Baldwin in the highlights.

Looks like Joey Barton took a swing at Stendel in the tunnel after the game.

Very little atmosphere from Sunderland today.

The Ricoh has been slated for years about its lack of atmosphere and yet other than Lincoln last season, I've seen no different at other grounds.

Proper good day out though. Great away trip.

Surely sacked tomorrow morning for punching an opposing manager in the tunnel?

I’ve read a lot that Coventry fans were throwing glass bottles from above at the home fans, as well as a pub or 2 smashed up....

Shocking if true

Another thing that made the day a poor one for us. Couldn't do the business in our PROPER colours! Nice to see us wear them for a change.

Plenty of headlines re the 'alleged' assault. Nothing on the FTFC website about the game, comments etc. Joey has been reasonably restrained so far this season, if he's blotted his copybook he's done done big style !

Cant comlain at that at all. Charlton full value for a two goal win. Didnt like Lyle Taylors antics style and attitude - but then we have Hylton.

Both thie front two were a huge handful and too much for us to handle. We best get used to it as we will face that quality of frontline every week, at a minimum, if we're in the Championship. Not sure that pairing will work. Badly missed Rea and or McCormacks protection. Very impressed with Charlton. Again.

Playoffs gonna be epic whoevers in there

Agreed about McCormack, missed someone to get a control of the game in the midfield and calm them all down. The amount of times Lee, Shinnie and Moncur gave it away was absurd in the second half...needed a McCormack type to get amongst them and sort them out. We've done it a lot this season when under pressure of just taking some time to keep the ball for a bit but we had no one to grab that control for us in midfield today as none of them were that type of player, plus Bielik and Aribo were all over us. Pelly has done well in his position but they are clearly not as comfortable with him, or a more typical DM in front of them. The pace of both front players caused them Pearson and Bradley big problems even in the first half when we actually played alright.

Torn between Barnsley and Charlton as to who is the better side ive seen us play. Probably go for Charlton after today but could be a recency bias coming into play, both had that "look" in terms of athleticism and ability on the ball of a Championship type side. I knew Taylor would cause us all sorts of problems. Aribo, Williams, Bielik all really impressed, Fosu was good in the reverse fixture as well, not sure where he was today, and Sarr bullied our forwards out of the game and could play a bit too. Probably just have to doff our caps to them and say the better team won on the day.

Playoffs will be hard to call, just hope we aren't in them!

Assuming it’s as bad as it sounds, I suspect he’ll weasel out of it with a fine and a ban for a few games.

As it’s football, normal rules don’t apply.
