A guid dram
Maybe a case of sad but wishful thinking
Given the options upfront and the development of the youth players in preseason, goals will not be an issue. Don't see how Everton will finish ahead of us anyway when they can't score either.

My opinion may well change with a few swings in the transfer window. For example, the Gray signing has pushed Watford up and Burnley down for me.
I don't blame anyone for having us down by the way, we like the look of our own squad and have had a brilliant window, but really have no idea how they'll do in the Premier League.

The bottom 8 could be in any order. Pretty confident 8th - 11th will all be safe. Newcastle have enough sanity under Rafa to not do anything stupid. Plus I think they have better characters in their ranks than before to have a solid season. I'm putting Watford 13th because I rate Silva and I think Gray is a good signing. Palace are tough to place. De Boer is a coup but a first season in the Premier League with a side who are a bit Jekyll and Hyde is tough. Southampton are in line for a tough year. Brighton will give it a real good go and I like the look of some of the business they've done. I think Hughton is a safe bet to keep them up. Mark Hughes is shit and I don't like the look of Stoke's squad. It's a mix of players who are past it, haven't done it or living off reputation. I actually think they could drop. I've put Swansea in there though on the proviso they lose Sigurdsson. I think he'll be a huge loss with the goals he scores and makes. Burnley will need another immense season of home form to survive. They've added some grit with Cork and Walters. I'm just not sure it's enough. Huddersfield will be enjoyable but I can't see them surviving. Hope I'm wrong though.

As for the top end. If City don't win the league with the squad they have, they want shooting. Chelsea I think will recover from a poor window so far to challenge but I think in certain moments, Morata won't influence as much as Costa which will prove the difference. United to secure a solid yet unspectacular 3rd and Mourinho to laud it up. Liverpool or Arsenal is the toss of a coin. I'll go for Arsenal to bounce back. Everything looks to be against Spurs from the Wembley switch to a lack of signings. The Wembley switch is huge as their home form has been imperious of recent time. Kane and Alli will have good seasons but I see inconsistency and a narrow finish behind Liverpool/Arsenal. I don't think Everton will really challenge at all. They're building but very rarely does the first season of big change merit much reward. Even City took a few years to step up when they bought Elano, Geovanni, Robinho etc. The gap is still too big and I think they'll be in a league of their own in 7th.

I fancied Swansea to push on under Clement but their window so far hasn't looked great, losing Sigurdsson would be a disaster.

Burnley will surely make a big signing or two? Lost two key players so far for big money. If not its hard to see them staying up again, surely.

I'm saying all this in hope, of course...

I genuinely don't think you will, think you'll cause a few shocks this season.

That was too easy. I do think Everton will finish 7th though. Sticking my neck on the line.

That's more sensible than 99% of the transfer rumours you spread.

With Coutinho going (or staying and being unhappy), combined with the fact our transfer window so far has been shite, we won't finish top 4.

1. Chelsea
2. City
3. United
4. Arsenal
5. Liverpool
6. Spurs
7. Everton
8. West Ham

Can't really add much more than that, basically like for like to what I would have put.

Still know your football then Lee :10:

I'm quite surprised that everyone is ranking Spurs so low, I'd have them second (behind Man City).

I'm not. There's no way they're finishing 2nd playing half their games at Wembley.
