602 at billericay tonight

Which for pretty much any other club at Step 3 on a Tuesday night before Christmas would be a fantastic gate. They'll win the league and tonight will be the last time they aren't top but I'll be curious to see what they do next summer when it comes to players incoming and outgoing.

Edit: Tamplin just wants publicity, I should know better than to acknowledge it.

Lost the Fetcham Grove Superclasico for the second time this season. Oh well, we'll set the record straight in the much more important county cup fixture against them :err:

Former K`s manager Craig Edwards is on the move again!? -

Former Billericay Town and Kingstonian manager Craig Edwards has moved on once more- only a month after taking his last job

When Craig Edwards signed on as manager of Ware last month it was seen as a sign of intent by the Hertfordshire side, struggling at the wrong end of the Bostik North table. A number of new signings followed, and Saturday's away victory at high-flying Bowers & Pitsea made the rest of the division sit up and take notice. The Ware revolution had begun!

Yesterday afternoon, however, an announcement from Cheshunt FC caught all Bostik League watchers by surprise. The Ambers, currently bottom of the table, were loudly trumpeting their new manager. His name?

Craig Edwards.

The Cheshunt statement can be read here- and confirms that Craig will be in the dugout for the visit of Maldon and Tiptree on Saturday. Ware made a statement much later, and it makes clear the club's disappointment at Edwards' departure. It can be read here.

We'd like to wish Craig the very best of luck in his new role, and pass on the same good wishes to the Blues as they search for his replacement.

He arrives, he fixes things & he leaves to repeat the process elsewhere such is the life of Craig.

Reise Allassani looks as if he might be moving onwards and upwards very soon. According to an article some weeks ago, a host of Championship clubs and other league clubs were tracking his progress and now at least two of them have put in bids for him with several others expected to bid for him at this Saturday's game. Perhaps we should get David Dickinson in as auctioneer!

Reise has been absolutely brilliant for us, scoring 17 goals in 15 games and he'll be a huge loss if he goes. All the best to him whatever he decides to do!

I've only seen him live once, in his first spell this season (he went away & is now back again)... scored a ridiculously good chip from a tight angle against Thurrock in the FA Trophy. Their keeper that day was making all kinds of mistakes but Mbo's goal would have gone in no matter who was in the net. He scored the second last night when we beat Enfield Town 4-1 - our first win (& first goals scored) since 5th December.

Hopefully if nothing else you get a few quid for him, keep the wolves from the door for a bit longer.

Alec Fiddes has left us to sign for the filth. As the story goes Dynan is switching to a 4-3-3 formation which can't accommodate Fiddes & he doesn't want to sit on the bench.

Yeah we've just won a game for the first time in 2 months so now let's change the formation & cause one of our only creative wingers to leave. Bravo.

Football's coming (sort of) home, it's coming (sort of) home, its coming...

Great to see that our exile from the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames will only last one season. Interesting wording in the statement also... I get the impression we are buying in to King George's Field more so than simply being a tenant as the statement goes on about upgrading the infrastructure for the benefit of both clubs.

KGF was always the more preferred choice of venue to end up at after we were casted away from Kingsmeadow by AFCW/Chelsea.

Alegidly we went to Fetcham Grove this season instead of there for monetary reasons - lower rent fee being the only realistic reason & because they could offer us 3pm Saturday kick offs. It's been an interesting period there, been up Leatherhead way more times since August then I probably had in my entire life prior but I'm glad I will only have to make the trip next season as an away fan.

Can only see them going up and up, unfortunately.

The muriel is the Word of the prophet Tampon. He will lead them into the Promised Land of bankruptcy and the Essex Senior League.

I think my favourite dream way for them to go bust is if his wife leaves him for banging the sacked cheerleader who gave her number to a player and leaves him penniless after the divorce. What’s everyone else’s fantasy Billericay going pop scenario?

They've lost a few of their galacticos now so hopefully they are imploding. Still, nice of Leiston to join a very exclusive club of teams who have beaten Billericay in the league this year.

I wonder if East Thurrock could move into their stadium, its a lot better setup than what they currently have.

Wouldn't be the east side of Thurrock, but a small cosmetic change can solve that (if it ever happened... Thurrock United obvs, you heard it hear first).

Thurrock's problem (or at least one of them) in terms of attracting decent attendances was their location. Good facilities, poor location.

I don't know if you can count them as traditional either since they were only formed in 1985

Their stadium was decent but yeah the location was pretty awful, a couple of miles from Purfleet which was the club's original name.
I feel for Mark Stimson, who seems like a decent guy even though he bombed badly with us in 2010/11.
Don't ever stay at the hotel behind the ground, it's truly grim!

Rate it's going in the 21st century I class a traditional non league team as one that existed in the 20th century.

Tamplin has stuck to his word & stepped down as manager of Billericay following defeat in the FA Trophy to Wealdstone, moving in to an assistant manager role while his head coach is now the manager.

Top of the league. Games in hand. Only lost 3 league games all in all despite 2 coming in the most recent games played. Only lost once at home in the league (you're welcome). Not that I'm unhappy about this or don't find it hilarious but what a fucking odd time to sack yourself off.

If I'm Harry Wheeler right now I'm absolutely bricking it, he's the fall guy for any bad Billericay performances moving forward.

Ironically despite getting 5 put past them by the (mighty, mighty) Stones, everybody around them in the league decided to drop points. They're there now, it's just a case of who joins them in the playoffs.
