The danger is what makes you feel alive as a fan! Yep we've left it late, due to many factors, but usually at this stage of the season we've nothing to play for; but this time we've two finals to win! They can (and one probably will) go tits up of course, but gimme that every time over drudgery.

It also needs to be said that, despite the convincing win, Kevin Friend had a fucking terrible game, shitting decisions in his desperation to avoid giving penalties or yellow cards when they were deserved.

On refereeing generally, I think this is the worst standard I've ever seen throughout the whole league. Seemingly every game, refs are bottling big decisions, or making woefully stupid decisions on penalties.

I liked Klopp's post match comments on MOTD (which I've only just seen).

I'm paraphrasing slightly but it went along the lines of "A point would have done but I don't know how to play for a draw."

He really needs to have a word with Jose and learn from the master. Sarcasm aside, such a skill can be genuinely useful in certain circumstances. You could say it's one of Klopp's weaknesses.

Well tbf his team only got dicked 3 or 4 times in the season, 2 of which were by Liverpool, so he didn't need to deflect really as he was under no pressure to do so, especially with it being the last game of the season when they were safe.

Yeah, fair. But there's always a second discourse going on with these sorts of things. Also a great way to spin what was a bit of a damp squib to the end of the season; on another level, a way to re-adjust fan expectations going into a much tougher second season. That being said, I hope any self-respecting person (that isn't a Man United or Everton fan) would cheer you on against Real Madrid, the team of Franco and the King.
