I'll put this here as well..

Great effort.

I mean it wasn't a close game, we were given a footballing lesson but there's absolutely no shame in that, Man City are just on another planet to anything I've ever seen, the speed of their play and the instant swarm to the ball in the every 10 minutes or so they actually lose it, it's ridiculous. And the way they break, there was one point they had about 8 on 3. Made Man Utd seem like pub players.

I thought we defended terrifically to keep them to the amount of clear chances that we did, and to fight back from 2 down to 2-2 was incredible. God if Brownhill hadn't mishit that cross....

Did ourselves proud tonight. And the whole run, what a ride it's been. Love a cup run. Love it. People who just want to concentrate on the league I'll never understand.

Time to get back on the ball though now. Not much time to waste, Fulham, Boro, Brentford all looking very ominous. Diedhiou coming back is massive, we look so much better with him on the pitch. Amazing we kept it going as long as we did with him injured.

Let's do this again next year for real.

I expect Arsenal to win tonight. I'd rather them in a final than Chelsea too but I do think that Chelsea would have a better chance of beating Pep's enhanced warriors than Weng's boys would.

I'd personally prefer Chelsea, could see Arsenal going all guns blazing with not much else to play for this season.....

I think you'd still beat an all-guns-blazing Arsenal because they'd play into your hands. Chelsea would play it a little smarter and have a better chance at getting the win, I reckon.

Barkley has looked every bit as bad as I imagined he would look at Chelsea.

Such a nightmare situation to be in! Can't sack your manager because of all the success.

Not sure on that tbh, Arsenal are proving to be excellent at Wembley, I think they'll give City a real game there in the final.

Wenger will want another two years on his deal after this.

Well I hope Arsenal win but City and Pep are light years ahead of them and I don't think Wenger will repeat the sensible, defensive approach he adopted against City a season or two ago.

Arsenal did beat City in the semi's last year of the FA Cup so they'll believe they can do it again this time. Of course the latter is a much better side now but as I said Arsenal do seem to be very good at Wembley so they have a good chance imo.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
City owe Arsenal one for that game after Sterling's goal was ruled out.

I'll give it a watch. It kicks off a half-hour after Lyon/St-Etienne so won't watch the whole thing. I expect City to beat them without too many problems in this game and in the league.

Pathetic defending by Mustafi for the goal

It was a genuinely embarrassing claim for a foul by Mustafi. Arsenal have been nothing today. Aubameyang is like a lost little lamb when he isn't being asked to chase lost causes. No clue how Arsenal are expecting to make City feel even remotely uncomfortable in the next 45 minutes.

Arsenal as a football club look lost with Wenger in charge. Unfortunately nobody in charge of the club gives a fuck.

Mustafi hasn't done a single thing right today. 2-0 City. This is an awful Arsenal performance.

Game over folks. Another trophy for City and Pep. Class above anyone in the league.

3-0 now, but I think Welbeck will turn it around.

The irony that arsenal and wenger have trained their players on movement off the ball for two decades and then look completely gormless against a side that's trained on it for 2 years

He's right that Arsenal are basically shit, but he's talking 'good football man' level nonsense saying they should be running around when they're sat defending in front of the defence.

yeah, i'd be more critical of the midfield going forward with the ball. why did wenger buy aubameyang if not to play the ball in behind for him to run off the last man? they've had multiple opportunities to do it today but they just ignore him and play it sideways instead.

although tbf some of his movement and the timing of some runs has been shit today.

yeah that and Man City are just miles better, how many of this Arsenal team would get into the Man City side? Probably none. This is just a far superior team beating another - less than stellar defending but running around a lot isn't going to reduce the gulf in class. It's an embarrassing loss for Arsenal but more because it's representative of where they are as a club now rather than an 11 v 11 'on the day' sense.

That being said, I'm enjoying Neville just slewing them on national TV.

Obviously there is a gulf in class, but there is also a gulf in preparation and there's no excuse for that. It's so characteristic of Arsenal over the last few years.
