Had a bit of a Liam Neeson binge over the weekend. A Walk Among the Tombstones and Run All Night. 5 baggers the both of them.

Think it's ace, James McAvoy is superb. 8/10.

Batman vs Superman
Got bored after 40 minutes so switched it off.

You're Next
One of the best recent slashers for years, brilliantly shot and there's some really cool sequences, mainly when one of the killers steps through the window as the camera looks up from the floor. 8/10.

To go back on the Bond debate, I thought Spectre was the best Bond film since Goldeneye.

I watched The Social Network last night. Very good film.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.

It is essentially perfect apart from that one bit where he overplays his hand by queuing up Jerusalem with the voiceover. I'd pay a small sum to have a personal copy that takes that out.

Ok lads you've convinced me to watch it soon, have it bookmarked. Think I'll watch it before Prevenge.

Thoughts on Get Out? Didn't fancy it, but saw a good scene there with it and its piqued my interest.

Thought Get Out was brilliant, good exploration into middle class racism. Definitely one of the best horror flicks to come out the a long time, even though it's not particularly scary.

It's good. I enjoyed the unspecified dread/paranoia of the first three quarters a lot more than the (still fun) madness of the denouement, but it's good.

Aye I'm more into that myself, the feeling of suspense and the dark possibilities of the unknown in a film like this; over something that shows it all straight away bludgeoning you to feel a certain way. Ok, another one added to the list.

I didn't think it had much value outside of the social commentary, and even that was quite lazily done toward the end. It's a horror/dark comedy that's not very scary and not very funny either.

The "social commentary" is the point of it, surely. It is effective dramatically on those terms, as a vehicle for that (as I say not madly in love with the ending either). Re: funny/scary, I guess reception/reading of it would owe rather a lot to one's politics and pigmentation, but it's a satire innit. More sly & wry than laugh out loud funny, and more discomforting than pant-shitting...

Anthony Hopkins playes a psychich who tries to help The FBI catch a serial killer who is killing people who are dying, good acting and a very good script with some gruesome scenes as you'd expect this was a very good thriller with lots of twists that kept me guessing until the end. 8/10.

Was he the killer all along?
I don't want to give the ending away to people who haven't seen it yet mate.
I Am Wrath (2016)
Average revenge film with John Travolta who goes after the men who murdered his wife during a mugging. 6/10.

Hannibal (2001)
A good film but not a patch on SOTL as it was missing Jodie Foster as Starling, for me Lecter wasn't as menacing until near the end,the scene with the fella missing the top of his skull and Lecter was cutting away small parts of his brain cooking it next to him and feeding it to him was sick but in a way hilarious as well  7.8/10.

An enjoyable film about a group of assassins starring Jame McAvoy,Angelina Jolie and Morgan Freeman. Some funny moments with lots of gory scenes as well and Jolie looked so hot. 8/10.

The Fundamentals Of Caring- 8/10. Paul Rudd stars as a caregiver in this black comedy. Quite touching in places.
