Squad almost back to full fitness [with the long term exception of Clyne], maybe Lallana and Mane could be included and hopefully begin to truly kick the season on.

Soton are a bogey team of ours, I don't think we've scored in the last four against them; but I'm a deluded Liverpool fan so of course I'll go for the win! 2 - 0.

We’ll play for a point and get beat by a long range Coutinho strike.

We will be even more defensive than last season's league encounter.

At least 3-0 Liverpool. Forster to be beaten from outside the box at least one and one of our former players will score.

Reed and Pellegrino out.

An example of the defensive shite we need to overcome if we want to realise our long term ambitions. It will be tight but once the first goes in, more will follow.

3-1

I had a good eyebrow-raising gif ready to post for that line but it wouldn't show.

Have gifs also now been banned?

Liverpool should win this without a problem.

But I hope that they don't. I hope they don't win it at all. I hope they lose.

Long range Salah strike then. Just hit a shot on target against Forster and it will go in.

It was a hell of a strike tbf, right in the corner. Heard if you hit it hard and low Forster is too big to get down quickly though.

You lads are being harsh on VVD, the guy isn't long back and you know how good he is at his peak.

It makes the pass a lot harder if he is where he's supposed to be.

Comfortable half from Liverpool, I absolutely despise what Les Reed, Pellegrino and Ross Wilson have done to my club.

An easy job well done. Only disappointment is we didn't score more, could have bagged 5 easily.

Salah carries on like this, could be up for player of the season. What a fucking signing.

Very comfortable victory for Liverpool. You'd struggle to find a side as boring as us in this league.

Several players aren't fit enough to wear the shirt. We need a good clearout and if that means going down then so be it.

Reed and MP out.

Wtf do Southampton fans expect? They consistently finish in the top half, got to a cup final last season and have played in Europe. Short memories.

Hahaha oh yeah our European exploits. Where we were given a piss easy group and failed to qualify from it because the manager put out a rotated side.

Season ticket holders paid £31 per goal last season at St. Mary's. The highest in the league by a mile and it's probably going to be even higher this season. I would be surprised if we matched last season's goal tally at home this season (17).

Under this new clown we barely register decent attempts on target. Yesterday we had zero against a defence containing two shite CBs.

We have a good goalkeeper in the eyes of the neutral but every Saints fan will tell you he is complete and utter shite. He was made to look good by our solid backline which restricted shots on target. This c*** got a new 5 year deal in the Summer. Maybe we'd have even won that cup final had he not been so fucking shite.

Moving up the field we have utter toilet players like Nathan Redmond as a guaranteed starter. How do you go from Sadio Mane to Nathan Redmond? A Championship player at best. Dusan Tadic barely putting in any sort of effort, it's infuriates me to watch someone who has shown how talented he is walk around the pitch barely giving a fuck now. Then we have Mr Shane Long. No goal in 30 something games, still gets picked to play upfront in the same boring formation that didn't work last year and is even worse this year.

Gabbi and Austin will get you goals if you give them service but we don't play a formation or system that create chances for them. Puel didn't and Pellegrino certainly doesn't. Both of these Reed appointments have a defensive mentality. Pochetinno and Koeman both had us playing wonderful attacking football, Les Reed even said this new puppet would bring the pressing/attacking game back to Southampton. Where is It? Puel seems more attacking than this clown.

2016 was the summer to push on, we had just finished 6th and had Europa League football to look forward to. We lost Mane, Wanyama, Koeman and Pelle - Les Reed replaced them 3 of them on the cheap, we didnt replace Pelle at all and it's now showing. Funnily enough Les Reed has disappeared from the media now.

We got lucky as fuck finishing 8th last season, it was due to all the teams below us being shite. We were closer to 18th than we were to 7th.

We even have an owner who no one knows fuck all about so there's a bit uncertainty where we currently stand. Is he going to invest the money to get us back to the level we were at under Poch and Koeman? Or is it more of the sell our best players and replace them with shite?

Triggered. :bg:

We've also had the easiest start to a Premier League season that any team could hope for, which has seen us drop points against Burnley, Brighton, Newcastle, Stoke, Watford, Huddersfield and Swansea.

Still yet to play City, Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal.

Lemina is our only hope this season and he should be gone next summer.
