I'll try that, I tried opening the app on my phone as well as my PC to do that and it recognised a second device.

I made my ifollow debut on Saturday. It worked very well, although the stream is obviously not HD resolution (first world problems). No buffering for me at all with a connection speed of 50 mbps.

I did without the commentary. In the first half I watched on my laptop and tried to switch on the commentary on my phone, but the stream disappeared immediately. I didn't try using different tabs, I'll have a go at that next. The crowd noise was in sync for me.

In the second half I tried watching on my tablet. Trouble is, every two minutes the feed disappeared with a message telling me that ifollow was running on another device, even after I switched everything off.

Excellent tip on opening two windows with one for video and one for audio. Tweaked sync with a pause here and there, it worked like a dream.

So does this still work in the UK with a decent VPN? Might try it this weekend.

Yes but for majority/all of the clubs now the £45 loophole in closed- you need to pay £6/game of pay for the £130/pass option. Providing you're happy with that though, you will still be given the option to watch the game if you login with a VPN.

Can you get this for one off games whilst abroad or do they expect you to pay whatever the fee for it is?

Hoping to use this in Greece on Saturday, do you have to sign up for anything or just pay a fiver and get the game?

As above, just sign in with a VPN enabled and pay the 6 euro 'match pass' fee.

Cheers. Used it in Spain paying per match and it was decent (when the stream wasn't broken), will pay just for Saturday. Wouldn't get the use of a season pass (and frankly have no desire to hear Perry Ng talk about Newport at home for 20 mins) but £5 for a game that would cost £20 + petrol to go to seems fair when I'm being lazy. Big up the destruction of the lower leagues.

Are these VPN workarounds still working? Gonna use it for the first time tomorrow if so.

Cool, which VPN did you use mate?

Just enabled a free ZenMate extension to Chrome for the evening. It's not perfect and I had to refresh it a couple of times during the 90 minutes but it was more than watchable.

I think you and 100,000 others will be doing the same tomorrow considering it's long haul midweek for most clubs.

I tried and failed when I wanted to watch the Colchester match recently and wouldn't mind watching the match this afternoon. For some reason, when I put my card details in to pay and hit Confirm, it just sent me back to the iFollow login page and then I had to click back onto Subscribe and I prompted me to put the same details in again. Did the people that got this service to work, use VPN before entering your card details/signing up/logging in? Or did you activate the VPN after getting a membership? Cheers.

I set my VPN, then input my details using Seattle Airport as my address incl zip code. Put in my card details and that was it. Pay on a match by match basis, no bother.

Used the service a couple of times, not through a VPN (until today) and the quality of video is pretty good, especially if you have a strong wifi connection and are able to switch to the HD version.

In time I'm sure there will be improvements. I'm sure they can find a way to 'delay' the video by around 30 seconds so you can sync the commentary in future.

Yeah the no commentary thing is a bit off putting to be honest. How were you streaming without a VPN? Do you live abroad??

Hmm... has iFollow sussed the VPN? As soon as I login, it kicks out the watch live option?

Its buggy s/ware. Try again. I often have to close a window as it thinks I've not got a subsription in one of the two open windows I have

So as of today I can't open another window and watch as well as listen to commentary. It tried to stop me on Sat but I managed it. Now it actively stops you, closing the content of the intial window when the second is open with a warning message you can't have two windows open. Pathetic. Premium price yet in this modern media age we can't watch and listen. Disgraceful considering it isn't causing them any loss of revenue

Had an email back from iFollow:

Please note that duplicating a tab to have audio over video commentary will appear as if you are logged in twice hence the error message.

Due to broadcasting rules and regulations that iFollow are required to follow, our service has always intended to provide one or the the other and not as a joint a product. If you notice on our subscription plan you will see that live audio and live video commentary are listed as individual items not combined.

As we can appreciate that this was something you were able to do in the past a recent update made to the website has now fix this glitch and going forward this workaround for our customers is no longer doable.

Be rest assured that your comments regarding this matter has been forwarded to EFL so that are aware of our customers feedback.

Regards,

Christelle, iFollow Support

Our iFollow has had awful reviews. They just can't seem to get it right for us.

I've just come back from working away for the last two weeks, where I've been trying to use my VPN for UK based content.

Apparently, the BBC and Amazon amongst others are now deliberately blocking VPN servers, which they've not got a fix for yet, which pissed me off greatly. So the broadcasters are getting more savvy over these go arounds.

Think Jones has this one wrong tactically. Too many touchy feely players for us in a rough and tough game on a bad pitch for football on the floor. Getting over run all over the pitch. Haven't had a decent possession let alone a spell.
