We've got 2 of the most error-prone players in Europe at the back, no Martial, and no Lukaku.

Pogba's just made a pass to Rashford and they've both fallen over without making any contact with anything.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
That looked a penalty for a handball, tbh.

What an absolute shite final. Two boring teams despite being worth an absolute fortune in transfer fees.

Not often I'd be happy about Chelsea winning a final. But it was against United. And Mourinho. So I am.

What a shite game though, two truly shit teams to watch.

Conte would be binned would on this season's showing in previous campaigns, but as I've touched on in the Conte thread, I get the impression Abramovich's interest in the club has wained, along with how much he's prepared to spend. I wouldn't be surprised to see Conte there next season, short of him leaving of his own free will.

Besides, who would they bring in that hasn't already managed them at some point in the last ten years? That would also be a definite improvement? First thing they need to do is sort out those c**nting unprofessional players.

Certainly difficult to see him here next season, especially after those player interviews. Cahill wouldn't be drawn on Conte's future and Hazard had a bit of a dig at the defensive approach we adopted. lolz.

More the same Turgid rubbish we have been churning out since January. The Sanchez signing simply hasnt worked, it has unbalanced the side and now we have lost conidence because of it.

Sad to say but cannot see a lot changing with stubborn/negative Jose and the hierachy will for "big name signings".

Didn't see or even follow any of this game, and it seems I didn't miss much after rightly feeling it was going to be a turgid affair.

It's strange that two of the best six teams in one of the best football leagues in the world which have scored 60+ goals each should produce such a drab game, but that's invariably been the case in recent FA Cup finals for whatever reason. It's only when there's a surprise team that isn't miles behind their usual top 6 opponent and isn't just happy to play at a massive stadium that we get something remotely entertaining (West Ham vs Liverpool, Wigan vs Man City, Hull vs Arsenal, and to a lesser extent Palace vs Man U).

Either Kane is injured or you are ignoring the facts to take a dig at a United player.

I'll side with the odds and assume the latter.

If Abramovich's interest in the club had waned I suggest he wouldn't be building a new stadium. He's certainly reigned back on the spending, although this isn't particularly new - in part, I'd suggest he might have done so precisely because we've been quite successful in recent seasons without City-United levels of extravagance. To some extent it's an understandable strategy as the market's become quite absurd. But it also has its risks as it can cost you a place in the Champions League and, if you're not careful, your best players. It'll be interesting to see what our approach is this summer.

I don't think I place much stock in the player power stuff. It's long been a criticism aimed at Chelsea players, and only Chelsea players, even when we've had quite different personnel! There's probably been a number of reasons for the under performance this season but I don't think there's been a particular lack of application from the players.

Kane and Vardy were both in a massive car crash before this game, leave silky alone.

RE: the game. Mourinho got it all wrong, he should have set up more like Conte when he didn't have anyone up front that could head the ball or remain disciplined enough to stay in the centre of the pitch. We could have used Zlatan as cover for Lukaku. Herrera was wasted and Hazard tore United to shreds anyway, he's still a special player even though he's been an afterthought in this Premier League season. Rudiger, Azpilicueta and Kante all excellent today.

United had a lot of the territory and a few half chances, but Conte did what he does best and set his team up to counter clinically. Their few chances were better than any of United's and they deserved the victory. The end of a decent season, though it's been progressively harder to watch. Mourinho will need to improve the style or next season will be his last.
