Well this will be an open game. Could be a real barnstormer. Hopefully Liverpool could be the first team to beat City in the league this season and just put a wee dent on the PL trophy for them at the end of the campaign. However, I'll go with 2 - 2.

I'm confident. So we'll get murdered I guess.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.

The title is City's and has been for a while now but I still hope that Liverpool get the win here to at least end the unbeaten league run. Preferably by an incorrect penalty or offside decision so Silkyman pops a blood vessel.

We should beat Stoke and that would mean "as you were" for the points gap between us and I'd back Liverpool to fuck up a few "easy" games between now and the end of the season so I wouldn't be too worried about them finishing above United.

We've looked more solid than you have recently and have clawed back 6 points or so on you guys also. 2nd place is there for the taking for us without a doubt if we can continue our good run.

You've just lost your best creative spark, Van Dijk can't single-handedly fix your defensive mess and you are inconsistent in general at the very best of times, I'd say fourth is where you'll end up this season. Chance of third or fifth depending on how well/poorly Chelsea and Spurs play from here.

We'll see. Our record without Coutinho is better this season than with him, but of course its a big blow to lose him (unless we get Keita or someone in soon to help out). I honestly thing Lallana will kick on now he is 100% and he or Ox who has been improving game on game can be that other creative player to link up with the forward three (Lallana definitely will) so I don't see us dropping off much if at all on current form.

If you are going to finish higher than fourth (your current position) you will not only have to avoid suffering a drop-off but actually improve in general.

You never know, though - Chelsea are a mess this season and I wouldn't put an implosion past them.

Never mind Chelsea mate they'll be fine, you lot though need a lot of work. Need to spend big I reckon if you want to guarantee top four; you've been pretty mediocre probably since you played us at Anfield. Mourinho from the outside, looks to be losing it a bit particularly with this Conte stooshie, and him trying to deflect from your problems. Now Stoke will cause you no issues on Monday, but you do not convince, nor have done for months now. There is something not right at Old Trafford.

Mourinho always deflects, this is nothing new.

What surprised me was how readily Conte "bit", even when the comments were not necessarily directed at him. He's clearly at odds with his own board, too.

Chelsea are ready to boil over at any minute.

Yeah I don't think they are at their best at the moment, and Morata is having a mare currently. I think Conte's grasp of English has let him down here and he was easy to wind up, so he needs to refocus. This talk of him leaving at the end of the season could hurt them, and is a very real possibility; but I still think they'll have enough to finish 3rd or so.

As for Mourinho though, I get the sense that the rest of the major staff at OT would rather he kept his mouth shut and just got on with managing the side, and this was definitely the main issue why they stalled over bringing him in in the first place. I don't think its a particularly happy camp, and it could definitely derail your season as it did with him at Chelsea both times - if this continues.

I think Liverpool might do well on Sunday, is it a case of has the most clinical finishers?

City have the best defence in the league if you look at goals conceded i think and i prefer to watch Liverpool away for some reason.

0 - 0 written all over it.

After Everton failing miserably to turn up against Spurs we have to bag at least a point here or they stay above us.

Sadly it looks like VvD is out with injury for this game.

I hear there has been a tsunami of man juice in the Southampton area.

We will now lose this I suspect, although in a tight game. Hopefully Lovren will see this as an opportunity to fly via own flag and play a little bit better than his usual bag of shitte quality.

The gulf from 1st team to one with legitimate top four aspirations is insane - such a gulf would've been akin to a top 4 v newly promoted team not long ago.

Got a terrible record at Anfield over the years. I think this is possibly the one where the run ends.

Would take a point now.

Got a feeling this is finally the game Sterling finally turns up against us. Shame VVD isn't playing but they have Delph at LB which isn't ideal for them either.
